MotoMedi Mediterranean — Restaurant in Lubbock

I ordered 2 takeout Rice Orzo bowls, with chicken and lamb respectively, 3 sauces (garlic sauce, hot sauce and medi sauce), 2 sides - baba ghanoush and tzatziki, and a plate of fries. The food was not warm at all, the rice was undercooked, was stingy with protein to the extent that I was looking for the shredded lamb and chicken pieces, the proteins barely tasted any better than boiled bland food, the falafels were cold, the garlic sauce was basically ranch dressing, baba ghanoush tested like a chutney served at an Indian restaurant with their dosa (Indian rice crepes) - could barely taste any eggplant, tzatziki was basically a raita - thin consistency with chunks of cucumber, and the lavash was not fresh. Basically, the food was far from what could be called 'Mediterranean' food. As far as the freshness of the food were concerned, I still overlooked it because it was around 8pm Sunday Superbowl evening but still not a good enough excuse. Mediterranean cuisine is one of my favorite, and I have had Mediterranean food at many places but was never disappointed to this extent. We used to love eating at Moto by Costco but its starting to resemble Chipotle! So stingy with the rice and meat and the dip was too much! I couldn't even eat the rest of the bowl because the dip was everywhere and there was hardly any veggies/meat/rice to help eat it. For the price I am very disappointed.

This isn't the first time either we have been disappointed. No matter what time you go they won't load up your bowl like they used to. Not even 10 min before closing. If you ask for extra meat, the employees ignore you or barely give you a full scoop. (You don't even get a full scoop in the first place!) I get that prices have increased for everything but, there has to be a balance. Good Evening, I wanted to share the excellent experience I had this evening at the restaurant in Lubbock TX (West End location). This was my first time trying MotoMedi and from the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile from Jacob who proceeded to confidently walk me through the options, and even entertained my request of him to share with me his favorite recommendations. Peyton was very courteous and professional (I didn't have as much interaction with her as she was busy keeping your location clean), and DJ went out of his way to pick up my trash and help with my drink. The food was delicious, both my friend and I were very impressed and I even decided to get a bowl to go for my husband. Thank you and I just certainly will be a regular going forward.
