Read moreIf I was basing my review off my most recent visit, I would have selected 1 star. On 7/13/22, I placed an order for 3 adult grilled cheese sandwiches. When I made it home, I realized the marinara sauces were missing. I called the restaurant and explained the situation. A manager got on and I had to explain it to her. She said she put the sauces in the bag herself. I told her I would bring everything back to the restaurant to verify the sauces were not in the bags. One bag had the 3 sandwiches and the 2nd bag had a side salad with a container of dressing. I was told that was not necessary. She asked me to return to restaurant and she’ll replace the sauces. I pointed out the sandwiches would be cold by the time I get back with the marinara sauce and the manager’s responded “You want us to remake the sandwiches?” I then said forget it, I’ll head back to restaurant to get the sauces. Heating up bread is the worse, but I returned to the restaurant so my marinara sauces could be “replaced “. The manager said she gets it and we could talk more when I arrived. When I arrived someone who later identified herself as Brandi, store manager, asked for 3 sauces to go without asking me any information. I was just standing at the counter. When she brought them to me I asked who was the store manager. After she identified herself, I explained that I’m disappointed in how this was handled. She then asked my opinion on how it should have been handled. I explained when I initially called, the manager didn’t need to say she bagged the sauces herself implying I lied. Instead, she should have offered to redo ordered. Brandi then said she would have my order remade but I declined. This is nearly a hour later and my family had started on their food. Remaking 3 would be a waste. I shook my hand and stated I love reviewing facilities online. Brandi then said she wanted me to be happy when I left, which it was already too late for that, and asked how could she make it right. I’ve already wasted my gas and time for marinara sauce and now she wants to correct the situation after I mentioned a review…smh. She then offered credit for 1 adult grilled cheese sandwich the next I order online or at the restaurant. Sure whatever was my response. My family and frequent Walk-On’s regularly and have never had an issue. This is the first to-geaux order so I have nothing to compare it to. Poor to-grain customer service ☹️
7/19/22–management contacted me to apologize. I do appreciate management trying to make this...
Read moreI'm pretty adamant when it comes to customer service. The host was nice and friendly. She sat us down and then a server came out. She did not greet nor smile. We let her know we were new to the place and she at least gave us some time to look over the menu. I just feel the first impression is absolutely the best way thing to do when being a server is to smile and say "hello." A very simple gesture goes a long way, just as an unwelcoming gesture can really have an effect on our experience as diners. I believe her name is Ashlie, which was on the receipt. I still gave her positive responses to her service since I am no Karen. I figured maybe she just needed some happy customers. She did well checking up on us and taking plates off the table. I never leave a bad tip so I still tip her good. I think a little personality adjustment would make it better for her as a server in this industry.
Food experience: amazing! There were so great options for kids and they all look delicious. Not your typical, bread and hot dogs. We got our baby fried catfish meal and it came out perfect. Good seasoning and she liked it. Next, we ordered mozzarella logs. Those were great! It has a bite of overcooked on high heat oil but was still great. The marinara sauce was on par. The drinks were good! Stout and as it should for the high prices on them. I ordered Ribye Poboy. Delicious and I didn't find anything wrong with it. Crawfish etouffee was okay, I wouldn't order it again. I'm picky when it comes to cajun food but as a sports bar, it's still alright. It just has more of a tomato sauce taste. I'm not sure how they make their roux but I would've loved it with more garlic, grilled bell peppers, and onion tastes to it. The tomato flavor is overpowering. I don't know if that's what they use it on there as one of their ingredients but it tastes like that. Fried chips and queso are good.
Will I come back again? Likely. The menu has great options and still has many items that I want to try out. I know it's not the typical cajun restaurant I expected but they're still good. It's good to have a different palette for what another...
