This time, I came with my sister in law. Had the best time sampling teas by smelling their bouquet before deciding on a pot of chai, which we shared. Her lemon bread was delicious - not too heavy, with a wonderful lemony overtone. (I already knew my flower-shaped shortbread would be very tasty - and now that I've enjoyed it several times, I might try the baklava next ;)

The service was friendly and unobtrusive (as usual), and the space itself never fails to enchant me. All for a worthy cause, too. I did get lost one Winter afternoon in a book that follows a trafficked girl's life - had a cozy sofa all to myself... But their menu items can be take-out just as easily.

Humanitea is my go-to in Ludington for a nice a.m. or afternoon cuppa, alone or with others. (Did I mention it's a great place to meet up with a friend for a good long chat?! Just make sure it isn't a Monday, as that's their weekly rest day.) Not sure whether I should broadcast how wonderful I think they are, so they get more business despite their easy-to-miss location - or keep it to myself, to enjoy Humanitea's unrivaled tranquility?

P.S. They have pretty and unusual gift/ decor items on display, too which...

Great local tea shop that brings awareness to human trafficking and donates sales to help support programs and organizations that fight it. They not only serve a wide variety of teas, but have a surprising number of non tea products as well; milk steamers, hot chocolate, lemonade, coffee, and sodas. Along with that, they bake their own goodies, so if you like beverages, baked goods and ending human trafficking, you should go here. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well. Only issue is that, as a small town shop, during busy tourist/holiday weekends it isn't staffed to meet the uptick in business, so expect to wait 15+ minutes for your order, but it's...

Perfect, peaceful, friendly, and delicious; what more could you need. My wife and I are frequent visitors to this little crack in the wall, but once inside it's anything but. From lates, to lemonade, and every tea in between; you'll be welcomed, cared for, and set to enjoy every drink and pastry this shop offers. Regardless of how you view tea, just for the atmosphere and beautiful gift baskets you NEED to stop here. Even if just for a chat. Money goes to a great cause and they always advocate for awareness for the voices u heard about human trafficking. Their hearts are big, and their prices small. Everything you need...

Came here with two friends to escape from the cold outside. Abby greeted us at the counter, very friendly and knowledgeable of the teas. Abby was able to make recommendations to help guide our tea experience. She really knows her teas. Major plus for this location is no up-charge for dairy subtitutes in our drinks. Another plus is a portion of the proceeds goes toward stopping human trafficking. Location is inside with three other businesses, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy yourself. Pictured is April Showers tea, tasting like Fruit Loops, and Maple Chaga Chicory tea, made of mushrooms but tasting like smokey maple coffee.

Such a cute, airy, cozy spot!! I had the kombucha flight (the Namaste was my favorite but all were delish; this would be super fun to share with a friend or two) and the chocolate pu-erh latte, iced, with almond milk - HIGHLY recommend, it was sweetened just enough to taste like a fancy grown-up version of chocolate milk 😋 Only thing is I wish they had some more outlets for sitting and working. But the seating they did have was lovely and comfortable, and I'd recommend chilling here with a book or a similar offline task any day. I will be back whenever I come through Ludington!

Stopped in for a hot chocolate, but got a wonderful conversation, cozy atmosphere, and the perfect drinks. The barista gave some recommendations that my spouse and I might like (sipping chocolate and a drink with white chocolate, lavender, and matcha, then we split a hot chocolate), and they were delicious and just what we needed on a cold day. Had a nice conversation with the barista while she made our drinks, and left the shop much happier than when we entered. Will absolutely return.
