Nick's Pizza Lumberton — Restaurant in Lumberton Township

This is a DISGRACE to NJ pizza. We usually order from Downtown Pizza in Mount Laurel (Phenomenal authentic pizza), but we were forced to try this place because we had just gotten back from an 8 hour drive and this was the only place open on a late Sunday night. Oh my, how we came to regret this decision. This pizza can best be described as “Chuck E Cheese” or “Middle School Cafeteria” pizza. Genuinely, this is a disgrace to NJ pizza. I’d rather dumpster dive or starve than eat even half of another slice from this place. Even frozen pizza puts this place to shame. You can go to just about any other pizza place in NJ and have a more authentic pie and an overall better experience than this one. I’m embarrassed to say that a place with this quality of pizza exists...

I share only an honest opinion here as I am a foody as well as heavily experienced in the Italian resteraunt world. While it's hard to mess up breaded shrimp and prepackaged cocktail sauce it's definitely not hard to make pizza terrible. The pie I had made fresh was nothing but tasteless garbage. Honestly microwaved it tasted better. Dough put on screens and cast into a conveyer belt will never yield a taste as good as fresh put the walk in tossed and laden with homemade sauce . This being said the people are nice but that's about all your getting from this under the mill pizza place. Prices are cheap because the taste is cheap. We order from Nick's often enough. There is a shortage of decent pizza spots in Lumberton and Nick's s always good. We usually order a thin crust cheese pizza and it is spot on. The sauce isn't super sweet, and they get the crust nice and crispy without burning the cheese. Their kids menu options are excellent for our kindergartener, he loves chicken fingers!The salads are another go to choice. The Mediterranean salad and Antipasto are 2 of my favorites.
