A year ago, I fell in love with this place. Being from the North East, the subs reminded me of home.
Yesterday I went, for the first time in months, and there has been a steep decline in quality and service.
The sub was a completely different sub than I have had at this location and others. It was sort of a deflated version of itself. The bread was stale and hard.. It left me wishing I had just stayed home, baked my own bread and made my own, for half the cost.
The staff was...lost, would be the beat description. We were at checkout, with two of us standing there, waiting for our subs, with 2 bags of chips and said we wanted a full meal. We got 1 cup. Ummmm.... When asking where the other cup was, we were told we were only rung up for one meal. A $36 meal??? And them charged another $4 for a drink. Huh???
That continued with almost everyone in line. An old man ordered cookies with his meal and never got his cookies and then stood there for 5 minutes with every member of the staff ignoring him while he tried to get his cookies. When someone finally acknowledged him, he was told he had to pay for the cookies he was sure he already paid for.
This has gone from a good Northern style sub or grinder shop, to another Lynchburg/Liberty waste of space.

Read moreOrdered pick up from the website so my wife could pick up on her way home. Took an extra 20 minutes after they said it would be done but fair enough they were busy. Gets home, missing a sandwich. Couldn’t complete half a small order, not great for us but oh well mistakes happen and she should have checked the bag but was in a hurry to get home. Wife calls to get a refund on the sandwich we didn’t get which seems to be a reasonable request, gets put on hold twice then they just hang up. Once she finally speaks to Katie, she is told she can drive back for a new sandwich, or they will mail us a coupon for free one. When trying to simply get a refund Katie managed to put my wife on hold then took her off hold but didn’t realize it and we had the luxury of listening to her speak to her coworkers in a pretty rude way about my wife. I want to congratulate the Jersey Mikes on Wards Rd and most of all Katie for being the first establishment I have ever left a negative review about. I’d say I hope they see this but considering their resolution to errors is using the USPS and Katie’s ability to handle her phone system, I’m not confident they would be able to handle the internet...
Read moreTerrible enforcement of Covid protocols. Despite clear posting about spacing, and masking, the very narrow place was packed tight. Line was back to back. And not only was there the standard selection of careless mask wearing on chins and below noses, but there was one family of three that was cheerfully completely unmasked, not even pretending to show concern for the safety and comfort of others. This pandemic puts the staff at restaurants in a very awkward position, but establishments have to be held accountable for ensuring their policies (and local policies) are followed by their patrons.
