Well, I'll start with the good, the young lady I dealt with was great, friendly and helpful. We did enjoy the crust and sauce on the pizza. And the quoted time for pick up was spot on. So let's now talk about the rest. We spent almost $50 for 2 of us to eat, nothing special or extra. My daughter ordered build your own pasta, only 2 types of pasta available, she asked for spaghetti with Alfredo sauce, spinach and mushroom. They forgot her spinach and the pasta was just a tad shy of al dente that it should have been.
As for me, I order the chicken and broccoli Alfredo and added mushrooms. The portion size for both meals was great, however, the sauce was awful. Not enough chicken or broccoli and they used CANNED mushrooms!!! The sauce taste like it was fresh out the jar of say, Prego or ragu pasta sauce. Really gross. It lacked any real authentic flavor. No seasoning to it at all. I might have forgiven that if they would at least dress it up a bit. There was no pepper, no parmesan and definitely not a garlic flavor. The most disappointing part and it really took away from a great pizza crust and sauce, the CANNED mushrooms. It did zero justice for the plates.
For this to be an "Italian" style restaurant I was seriously disappointed all around. My daughter was too. This definitely did not satisfy the craving for a good pasta dinner.
I might also add, the garlic bread was disappointing as well, it lacked flavor even though it was cooked well, not burnt and a crispy edge. It just didn't have any flavor, and only had seasoning on one side. Honestly Walmart garlic bread has more flavor. And that is a comparison that should never have to be made with an actual restaurant!! Would I go back?? Maybe, if only for the pizza, just minus the canned, flavorless, rubbery mushrooms. I was so disappointed. I have one more "Italian" restaurant to try here before giving up completely. So it's not likely I'd go back, super high priced for the quality of the food. Seriously, fresh mushrooms and spices are not that expensive and it pays for itself in return business and flavor, if nothing else. Please, fresh...
Read moreThe pizza is always great. Really good.
The waitresses and waiters are always great. No problem there.
However, customer service over the phone for event planning and reservations is incredibly unprofessional and needs to be looked into if this place is going to stay in businesses. If you are going to be in charge of a restaurant you have to smile at the customer, speak with them kindly over the phone and in person, and at least appear that you enjoy your work and care about the well being of your customer. This is a MUST. Because of my most recent experience here I am inclined to not come back because of how unfriendly management was to our group multiple times and also how someone in particular was just cold to us over the phone. That's not good customer service and not the kind of thing we want to bring our friends and family to celebrate or whatever.
Other than that, the parking lot needs to be repaved and repainted. A classy place like this must at least do that much. It would be far better off if Ledos could move back to its old location where there were more students and more people in and out. This location is not great. It needs to be spruced up at the very least.
A better pizza deal every once and a while offered on slow weeknights would attract some business perhaps. The price keeps our family from coming more often, but the service is...
Read moreI'm visiting town and in the mood for pizza. I walk in & the guy helps me with my order. I ask several questions because I've never eaten there before and they have a busy menu. He takes my order, never asks if I want anything else. I placed another order for a salad to go with my pizza. He said your salad will be out 1st, gives me my drink, the sign says "Seat Yourself" so I do. When my order comes out its packaged To Go. We have a discussion about me eating there. He said "for future reference if I had known you were going to eat here I would have assigned a waiter or waitress to you." Ok so he didn't ask me from the beginning if I was an Eat In or Take Out order - he should have. I can look beyond that, it's a communication error. But, none of the other servers acknowledged me at all - the whole half hour I was there. No one took it upon themselves to practice their customer service skills and go above and beyond to make a customer feel welcome. I did leave a few dollar tip. It was never my intention to sit at one of their tables and take money away from the wait staff. I used to be one of them and I know how hard their job can be. The food was ok but probably won't draw...
