Westside Deli — Restaurant in Lynchburg

Waste of my money, this place was terrible honestly. I got the food delivered from doordash 11/11 @ 7:49 pm so instead of paying the $26, I paid $34 because of fees and the tip. I called ahead and asked the restaurant if they took modifications, whomever answered the phone said yes. I ordered the cheesesteak it’s $9.99 for a 6inch. I politely asked them to remove the peppers and onions that came on the sandwich & I asked them if they could add mayo and lettuce. They removed the peppers/onions but didn’t add the mayo or lettuce. How cheap can you be? That mayo and lettuce wouldn’t have cost you anything extra to add especially since I took off the peppers/onions. It was dry. I also ordered the chicken salad sandwich with fries for myself and paid extra for the sandwich to be made with a croissant roll. That chicken was the driest chicken I’ve had in my entire life and it was covered in mayo so I’m left in shock of how that could possibly happen. The fries were soggy but that was to be expected, they weren’t going to stay crispy which I understand. I will compliment whoever packed the order though. They made sure I had napkins, everything I ordered was in the bag, they added wrapped pickles and ketchup for the fries. Definitely won’t be returning but I hope my feedback...

I am all for immigrants making it in the US, so I am sorry to leave a bad review, but we had some problems that would make me avoid this place. The servers are nice. That's a plus. The salad (Cobb salad) was pretty poor and the pecan pie was KMart quality. But that's not what would make me avoid the place. I paid my bill and then was presented a second bill "for the dessert she forgot to charge me." I almost paid it and then remembered that I had paid $20 for my $12 salad. So, I looked at my first receipt and there it was. Nearly paid twice. When I showed them, they back tracked. Then too, my companion ordered a Reuben and it came with fries so he ate them. Then when he got his bill, they charged him ($5) for the fries he had never ordered. When he questioned it, they said "You ate them, right?". I couldn't believe it. Here in the USA that's not the way we do...

Felt rushed. We were sitting there drinking a beer and eating an appetizer and some girl who was not our waitress came up and asked if we were done with the menus and she took them. I asked her was someone waiting on the menus and she said no. I had already told my original waitress that I wanted to drink a beer and have an appetizer before we ordered dinner. She was fine with that. Well the girl came up at least another two times asking if we needed anything else after I made it clear again I wasn’t ready to order. So we asked for our check and we left without ordering dinner. Walked outside and another customer said they had the same problems and felt uncomfortable.
