Zero stars if I could. I placed an order with a young man and paid for it with a credit card inside their establishment at 6:54 pm on a Thursday evening, 7/30/20. Before stepping away from the counter I asked what the wait time was and was told 30 minutes by the young man. I was okay with that. Afterward, I did see a sign on their counter stating a 30 minute wait time currently. I left to go outside. At 7:20 pm I went back inside and asked a young lady behind the counter about my order because I saw several orders sitting on their counter. I only ordered a sandwich and some fries so I thought one of those orders could be mine. How wrong I was. The young lady went back into the kitchen and came back out a couple minutes later and stated that my order should be ready in another 5 minutes. Well, I stood there for another 20 minutes and at this point I went back up to the counter and asked again. The 2 employees that were up front disappeared into the kitchen. At this point, I expressed my frustration about how long it was taking for just a sandwich and fries to a few customers who were waiting for their orders as well. I was not yelling or cursing at all but just talking about why an order for a sandwich and fries should take so long when it was now at the 45 minute point. At this time, the rent-a-cop security guard that was standing at the front door came over to me and told me to wait outside because he was "tired of hearing my mouth". Seriously, really??? I paid for an order and was lied to twice by 2 different employees and I don't have a right to question where my order was. This security guard, named A. Olgetree, was quite rude and very unprofessional to me. Never at any time, was I given an apology by anyone or even offered a beverage for the long wait. The security guard even had the nerve to tell me not to come back if I didn't want to wait. To the managers and owner(s), if this is the type of service that you want to provide to your customers, then I seriously hope people will read this before they decide what businesses they frequent and give their money to. This was only my 2nd time here and I won't be back as a result of how I was treated by your hired help. In all fairness, my 1st experience was good about a month or two prior to tonight's experience. I did receive my order FINALLY at 7:55 pm, 1 FULL hour after placing and paying for it. This was DOUBLE the time that I was quoted and what was being stated on their sign. This was TOTALLY unacceptable. Good Luck to those who choose to reward this type of behavior by an establishment. There is way too many restaurants available in the area to be treated this way. If a business cannot respect one's time and have the common courtesy to be honest with their customers regarding truthful wait times, then they should not be in business, just saying, in my opinion. They also have a sign by the register that refunds are not given, only store credit. Really? We came in and looked at the menu, I advised this was our first time and the cashier blew me off. I let that go. My Brother and Sister placed their order. I ordered next. I ordered the “Stoner Fries and Street Corn” from the menu. The fries were supposed to be topped with steak and lobster.
We waited about 45 minutes to an hour. No one came to check on us or advise us that the food was delayed. We did pay to dine in. We asked someone to clean our table before the food came out, never happened. We continued to wait, my Husband purchased a piece of carrot cake for me because I was extremely hungry at this point. Still no explanation about our food or the table being cleaned.
After an hour, my food was brought out before my Sister and Brother’s food who ordered before me. My food was cold as if it had just been sitting in the back. There was no lobster on top, I figured it would be mixed in. I never found any lobster and we waited an additional 30 minutes for my Sister and Brother’s food.
They did not apologize and never wiped the table! We will never return and I strongly suggest you not to go.

Read moreI've been to all the Black Box establishments, and I've had good experiences, good food, and service at them all. But what prompted me to write a review is my most recent visit. Last Monday night, after leaving the movie theater, my Husband and I wanted something really good to eat, but it was 9:30pm on a Monday night. Enough said. After mentioning several establishments and deciding against them all, we were passing Legacy, and I said wait! Let's try Black box! I'm not sure they're open, but let's see. Thankfully they closed at 10pm and we walked in at 9:40ish. I was nervous because although I know them to have great food, it's late, and they'll be closing in 20min. To our delight, not only was the hostess very nice and patient, the food was prepared as if we were the first customers of the Day! It was fresh, hot, and the presentation was amazing as always. I'm huge on Service, so the fact that we also were provided with great service despite the time, was Outstanding. The service at all your establishments have always been on point!
