This review is specifically about the curbside pickup program. (This particular experience occurred at the Legacy Village location.)
I placed an order for curbside pickup after an emergency occurred and I was unable to complete my normal weekly in-store shopping. The order was placed on Sunday evening for pick up Monday afternoon, between 5-5:30pm. I received the initial confirmation email but there was no additional communication afterward. On Monday, at 4:45pm, I got the usual text telling me my order was ready and to click the link to let them know when I was on my way. I do that and arrived at the store around 5:10pm. At 5:30pm, I call the curbside number listed - no response. I call two more times - no response. I called the main store number - no response. Finally, at 5:45pm, I receive a call informing me that not only was my order not ready, it was never even started. In the time I spent waiting, I could have completed my own shopping.
Iâve used this service before and normally itâs slow but this was unacceptable. There was no reason I couldnât have been notified earlier in the day that they were short staffed. There was no reason I wasnât notified as my pickup time approached that they would have been unable to fulfill my order.
I will continue to shop in person but will save curbside pickup for other stores that have...
Read moreThis is the worst pharmacy! I had 5 min's to pick up a prescription that if I missed could have serious side effects. I told them I was sending someone to get them in 5 mins. I asked the mgr of the store to see if they would allow him to get it for me. That I authorized him to hold it for 5 min's until my husband came. I did not owe any money and since I gave him authorization that he could know about my meds, it would pass hippa laws. He said that it was illegal and he said that the pharmacist said it was illegal. I asked to speak with the pharmacist and he said she wouldn't speak with me. He then hung up on me. I called back and they wouldn't answer. I spoke to the mgr again who said that the pharmacist was gone and she didn't work for him because he was only a clerk and not the store mgr like he previously said before. . and that the mgr was not there.
My husband got there at 5:05 and the pharmacist hid in the back room. He was told to come back the next day. I asked for the pharmacist name And the mgr said that no one would know her name because she was filling in from another store. Needless to say, I never got the pill. I hate stupid people. No more Giant eagle. And that is only one instant when they refused to make their buyers a priority. Not a place you can count on. Thanks for listening...
Read moreLast night was my last time in this store. I used to love to stop by on my way home from work a few nights a week just to pick something up for dinner. Their prepared foods section was great and I could always find something. Like all good things....they finally come to an end. I've been noticing that sometimes it takes a long time to get someone to wait on you.....or even acknowledge you're standing there. Last night did it for me. First of all there were no hand baskets at the front door. I even went looking around thinking maybe they moved them but could not find any. Oh well.....I'll just carry the few things I wanted in my hands. I went to the prepared foods counter. There were a couple people at the fried chicken and an employee was waiting on them. I moved down to where they have different prepared foods like crusted chicken breast, meatloaf, vegetables....etc. There was no one around and no bell to ring so I stood there thinking someone would peep out from the back. I even made eye contact with the employee working the deli counter and she just looked the other way. So I waited and waited until finally I just turned and walked out. From now on I'll take a different route home and...
