Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Mayfield Heights

So... ok, no ice cream for my daughter, from here anyway. We arrived to find a long line of cars (that was just on the main street) and the side street backed up to enter the drive thru as well. We decided to go to the walk up window (hence the name walk up window) but were told that we could not walk up to the walk up window because we arrived in a car....;( and didn't actually walk or ride a bike to this location. Wait what???? Yeeeaaah!!! I don't live close enough to do either, no one is in the walk line, the drive thru line is ridiculous and moving very slow. If you were working more than you were watching to see how CONSUMERS arrived maybe the line wouldn't be so long. Your main worry should be getting my order right not how I arrived. I wasn't the only one turned away I guess they're seeing how much money they can turn away in a day. Called corporate seen if they actually get back or if they allow potential paying consumers to navigate their hard earned money to a competitors franchise.

-not everyone was wearing face mask -2 employees were just sitting around doing nothing, then one walked to the back work area no mask & a cup she was using in hand -uber slow, slow, slow -live close by or wait in the extremely long drive thru line because you can't...

The service was HORRIBLE. I stood at the counter for about 5 mins until another approached the counter then we were acknowledged. While waiting at the counter a worker, I assumed was flung on break just walked past not acknowledging any of the customers at the counter, walked pass and went and sat at a table. Another worker came to the counter and I asked for the cake I ordered and the price because I was told by another customer, during my wait that their credit card machine wasn't working. The girl that first came to the counter was very dry and rude and showed no interest in helping me. She asked me what size and told me a generic price. I went to the car to get the amount she told me only to come back into the store to have to wait another few mins before another worker came to the counter. She asked my information and went to get my cake. The price on the cake was not what the previous girl told me so I had to go back out to the car to get more money. I have never dealt with such rude and unprofessional people at this establishment. I will try my best NOT to patronize this...

Delicious frozen treats. Staff is friendly. Wanted to add to my review because I was so happy that Dairy Queen staff came through today with a birthday cake. I thought I ordered it and this is not their fault but the website to order DQ cakes is not the greatest so when I got to submit page I did not realize I had another step as I was on a page that looked like a confirmation page for the order and since it said pay at pickup I thought I was done. Granted there is a disclaimer at the top and I should have verified in my email but it was crunch time for the party and there was lot on my plate so I missed this step. Anyway, since I did not actually order the cake the staff did fit it in the day and we were able to have the cake in time for the party anyway The cake came out absolutely perfect and was delightful to eat. Very happy customer and I really appreciated that this was done for us today...
