I’m not sure how or why this place has so many stars. I gave this place 3 star only because my dip lasted three weeks. There is only one person (the owner Susan) that does dip. Their personality is like drywall, they don’t have any. I went for the first time three weeks ago and Susan did my nails she only said hi to me during the whole 1.5 hour encounter with her. It was so weird and uncomfortable. I tried to make conversation with her but she wasn’t receptive. I paid $135 for dip and and pedicure. She didn’t get nice until the end of the service when I gave her a tip she didn’t deserve but that’s just my personality. I’m not sure if Asians just care for African Americans or feel Intimidated by us. Also, this place doesn’t take appointments which is very inconvenient to the working person or busy mom. I see why there was only two customers there the whole time I was being serviced. My nails came out ok, but there is no personality in that place. I compare that business to being in a factory that’s how they work. That’s their mindset. It appears that this is a fairly new business if they keep this mindset they won’t survive.
Update, I called today to make an appointment to give this salon another chance. I considered what the robot that posted the response said that possibly Susan was too busy to indulge in a conversation or not equipped to multitask.
Well I called today, 8/22/2023 at 11:37 am. I spoke with Susan. She ran my phone number and told me my services wasn’t welcomed. She mentioned my Google review. I thought transparency was key in business, I guess not according to them. I stand firm in my belief that they are intimidated by African Americans.
I thought Google review was to help a business improve their service and not cover up their reputation. I advised that I would put an update on Google that my services wasn’t welcomed because of the review. Who ever that will try to backtrack and cover up what happened to me please contact Google for my contact information.
As I stated earlier, Susan the owner has no people skills and I understand why she doesn’t have any workers or high traffic in the salon. I recommend other salons in the area such as Broadmor Nails. The only reason I went to Bliss nails was because my pedicure person and nail tech is out the country. I will wait till they come back. I didn’t realize that most Asians have entitlement issues African Americans spend the most money in their salons and hair stores. Everyday there is a...
Read moreMy mother and I have been going to Bliss every two weeks since they first opened. They were amazing for the first couple of months. I have sent countless friends there because of how clean the salon was and what a great job they did.
The past two months or so- it does not matter if you have an appointment, plan on waiting at least 15 minutes past the time you are scheduled for. I go during my lunch break so I have limited time and yesterday I had an 11 am appointment that I booked three weeks ago. When I walked in there were already two people sitting and waiting and three others sitting in the nail chairs. They only had three employees working so it would've been impossible to take us all at our appointment times.
Finally at 20 after 11 no one had even started on my nails. I asked how much longer they thought it would be and I was told to be patient. When I mentioned I had a call I had to be on in 50 minutes they said I'd be done in time- so my appointment of a pedicure and fill would've been rushed through. When I am a paying customer who had made an appointment three weeks earlier, I don't think twenty minutes is an acceptable wait time. I ended up leaving and going across the street where they took me right away.
It seems that they are much more concerned with quantity over quality. The last three sets I have had done have been rushed through, lumpy, and chipped within a few days. Both of the women who have worked there since the beginning used to do a beautiful job. They did great nail art and it always was a relaxing experience. I gave them a few chances after the first hurried appointment but not anymore. There are too many nail salons in the area to go to one that does not value a long standing customer.
Edit: I just need to say- the response from the business is wild. I have most certainly never been 15 minutes late for any appointment and I resent them making that up to try and make me look bad. Pretty much any time I’ve ever gone I am there early and sit in my car to wait till my appointment time. It also doesn’t matter if I had a pedicure or a polish change booked- late is late. Them running behind has become the norm and not a one time occurrence. I am not the only one who has complained that their treatment of regulars has gone downhill. And like I said taking someone 16 minutes after their appointment time is unacceptable. I hope in the future they can learn to take constructive reviews rather than make up lies to try and...
Read moreI originally visited another salon. However, that salon was packed so I chose to patronize Bliss today for the first time instead. I requested a pedicure (with hot stones/wax/ gel). I also requested a full set of dip nails. I waited to be serviced like everyone else ahead of me. Towards the end of my service, the male tech that had been assigned to me began to rush applying the few rhinestones I wanted all because an older woman, who randomly announced that she had an appointment started huffing and puffing. Mind you, I simply wanted a few rhinestones on TWO fingernails! In my opinion, if this place wants to act as if setting an appointment means that a walk-in service will be rushed then stop accepting walk-ins!!! This should be an appt only salon. I paid full price like everyone else. To add, the shape of my nails are all different/ slightly crooked bc he was rushing. Another woman ultimately had to finish my nails bc he scurried over to the other customer. I was so floored that I told the woman that began working on my nails that I didn't even want the rhinestones any more. Here's the kicker, he then had the nerve to STOP working on the client he just rushed over to and pulled his phone out to take a picture of MY nails. I told him, "No, I'd rather not!" since he wanted to rush over there stay over there with that client. In my eyes, if he had time to do that then he should have and verily easily could have completed the job. RIDICULOUS. This was not a good experience at all. I WILL...
