Wow! All I can say is that if I could personally give this one and only star to our server, I would as she is the only one deserving of it during my families' experience there. We should've known the treatment we'd receive the moment we saw the hostess's unfriendly and uninviting face. If I were manager of that establishment, I'd give her the spiel about how she's the first face the customers see and therefore she needs to change her attitude or work in the back, which I don't think even that would be a good job for her as I could see everyone in the back was smiling. Our meal was ok, but when one is hungry from shopping isn't it always? Our server was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive, smiling, happy and always kept an eye on us for any needs. Her second to the last check on us was to ask how we were doing. I told her that I wanted more edemame, but wasn't sure. She encouraged me to order another one and even offered to order it fresh and warm so I wouldn't have to wait for it on the conveyor belt. Once she delivered it, not even 5 minutes later, WHILE I HAD FOOD I MY HAND, the hostess comes up to our table. No excuse me, no apologies, just "We have an hour limit to a table and we now have a wait list so would you like me to get your server?" I was so caught off guard that I felt bad and just said yes, please. As I watched her walk away, she walked right past our server who was coming back to check on us and I then said we're ready for our check. With a smile, and without knowing what had just occurred, she said she'd be right back. We walked out, and without one word from the hostess like goodbye or thanks for coming in mind you, full as I had just paid over $100 plus tip on our food, but with a nasty taste in our mouth, sour stomachs and a promise that we were NEVER going to return. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely or kicked out of a restaurant even during covid. And I was still eating!!!! It's not like we were just sitting there taking up space. Unbelievable! I am an avid reviewer of restaurants across the country and even across the Pacific and even at the worst restaurants I have never been treated in this way. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. I hope that this is reviewed by management as they might want to reconsider who they hire as the first face customers are greeted by at...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in the accusatory and hostile staff and management I encountered here today. I placed an order on DoorDash and their staff told me my order was already picked up by a gentleman an hour ago.
I explained to them that this was impossible as I didn’t make the order an hour ago and provided proof of this. Instead of accepting the fact the establishment made a mistake, I had to firmly explain that I did not receive my order that I paid for.
After waiting around for 15 minutes for my order to be made the manager tells me, “I’m not welcome back”. I had also explained to him that I was a Software Engineer and unless the app was hacked, I’ve had my phone in hand and no one could have shown the staff the image below, “Show order details to staff”. He offered me to wait while he cancelled my DoorDash order so I could receive a refund. He then told me, “I can leave now” to my back as I was walking away after explaining to him how a paying customer would expect to be treated. As a manager this was extremely unprofessional.
He let me know he would be contacting the owner and I asked where I could contact the owner. I asked for his business card and he said the establishment was a restaurant and he didn’t have one. I then asked to leave my number. He also sarcastically said, “I’m not a software engineer”.
Overall, I love the food here but will not be coming back due to the lack of professionalism and disrespect I was shown. I do apologize to the customers in the restaurant as they had to hear me strongly discuss and urge the establishment to satisfy my order that I was there to pickup.
Edit: The manager told me I could get in touch with the owner by email. There’s no email listed for the business. I would love to discuss this further with the owner. I also asked the manager to take a look at the cameras to see that I did not pickup my order in which he told me, “we don’t...
Read moreNot a bad place when considering it's Kaiten (conveyor) sushi. When zooming out of that frame, however, it's just alright for sushi. Place is better than Kura, which was recently all hyped up. It's not as fancy with a machine for ordering and dispensing plates, but food here is better. Willing to visit again if in the area and in the mood as there wasn't anything to discourage that. Rating is simply because it's an average joint that doesn't exceed expectations.
Most options here have a hint of spice on them, mostly infused with jalapenos in some way, shape, or form. Not overwhelming, just something to note. The rolls come with 3 or 4 and everything that's on the conveyor is priced at $3.50. The price? Not that good, but not the worst. The conveyor is definitely packed with common items like the California roll, Philadelphia, Seattle, etc. I'd suggest you just place an order for anything that catches your eye on the menu instead of wait. Double pepper roll is pretty tasty.
I'd stray from the appetizers and rice bowls. The appetizers are extremely underwhelming. The karaage was unexpected; tastes and feels like a lightly coated fish in a way rather than a crispy, crunchy fried chicken. At the price point, definitely wouldn't try again. The rice bowls seem to be better, but they're loaded with rice to fill you up, which could be good for your wallet if it prevents you from eating smaller plates. But if you come for the Kaiten sushi experience, you're likely to experiment with new and...
