This review is strictly from my experience JUST NOW and NOT the food. AND this service score is only towards ONE individual - the rest of the staff are great. My husband and I take out from here at LEAST twice a month and honestly, we love the food and think it is priced fairly in today's economy. However, after I paid for my food with the cashier (who is always so nice!!) I was sitting down waiting for my food on the chairs they have set up by the door. I was definitely zoning out because it was 9:30pm and I had a long day with my baby so I probably looked tired and disheveled.. but this TALLLLL asian gentleman with glasses and a bun on his head (I think he might be the manager) walked up to me slowly, got in my face and stared at me a foot away from me, got in a half squatting position right in front of me as you would discipline a child and waved his hand slowly in front of my face a few times gesturing as if you're going "helllllloooooo are you there" - and yes I was fully aware he was in front of me doing this. and then he says - "are you waiting for someone? or..." I told him I was waiting for my food and I already paid. He all of a sudden completely changes his demeanor and tone of voice and goes "OH!" stands up from the rude posture he was in and goes straight to the counter and goes, are you Sylvia? I say yes, I already paid, i'm just waiting.
I didn't know how to feel because it was actually pretty funny that he would do something like that - like, did I look like I was loitering or wanting to take a nap at your facility? But otherwise it felt very condescending and rude and I did not appreciate being treated that way.
I worked in restaurants for 5 years in my early 20s and he could've just kindly and nicely asked "Hi! can I help you with something?" but his tone of voice, demeanor, everything was so condescending. I've never expereinced this at a restaurant before.
The food here is good though! I'm still coming back LOL but if he approaches me again that way, I will be clapping back.
Reply to managers response I never said you had an accent in my review - nor did I feel you had one. I'm also asian with english being my 2nd language. I said it was your tone - and yes, your choice of words. If you were merely checking on me, you could have asked if i've been helped vs what you said with the gestures you made. Anyway, thank you for your response, apology, and hope you're able to learn from this experience to treat other...
Read moreWent in today around 130-2. It’s a Saturday, nice weather so the place was relatively empty. Physical menus say that lunch runs whatever their schedule is for the week and then from 1130-11pm Friday and Saturday, waitress comes over and says they don’t run lunch on Saturday at all…..that’s dumb, take it off your menu then. I’m from the south and I was really excited when I saw this place pop up. But honestly, this is the worst crawfish I have ever had. It’s rubbery, no flavor, it’s obviously frozen and then unfrozen. I could practically taste the freezer burn. The corn and potato were the only good thing and the sauce they shake the bugs it was also good but there was no flavor from it in the crawfish. If I wanted the flavor and not plain, nothing tasting crawfish, I had to dip it in the sauce in my tray. Im really disappointed in the quality. Why have live crab and lobster but you won’t do it with crawfish? We also got fried pickles, they were alright. Fell apart too easy and kinda soggy. My friend also got the fried shrimp basket which was the only solid part of our meal. However, they kitchen staff forgot to put the Cajun season we ordered and to fix it they just sent the waitress with a plastic side cup of the seasoning….seriously? On top of all this we waited for 20 minutes after being done eating for the waitress to come back and check us out. We had to get up and go to the host to get her to finally come. She checked on us once and the rest of the time was not around. I used to be a server for years and ran a Cajun restaurant in the south, I rarely complain about services but this was seriously unbelievable. Paid $50 for a split tab, I will absolutely not...
