Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Lynnwood

First time at a Jersey Mike's and WOW! A wonderful experience and a truly excellent meal.

The employees were fast, kind, and allergy-friendly (talking about ingredients and even changing gloves and cleaning in front of me!) which I deeply appreciated! It wasn't too difficult to hear them or speak to them, which is a rarity in most sub shops, especially a busy one.

Ingredients were all very fresh and extremely delicious! I got an Italian sub (#13 Classic Italian) with a few modifications and asked for it done 'Mike's Way' which means onions, lettuce, tomatoes, spices (oregano, black pepper, and optional salt), and 'the Juice'.

The red vinegar and oil dubbed 'the Juice' is quite possibly the best I've ever had. The red vinegar in particular is very tasty. It enhanced the flavor of everything (except the pickles, which seemed oddly bland with no tangy bite, I'll have to try them again without the oil and vinegar), especially the meats, and really elevated a sandwich into a true sub. It also seemed very messy and is likely enjoyed immediately after preparation, rather than saved for later.

I'll definitely be trying other shops in this chain. I'd rank Jersey Mike's right up there with my favorite sub shop of all time, Port of Subs. To my tastes, Port of Subs has better bread and a wider variety of quality vegetables, but Jersey Mike's was no slouch in those departments. I just really...

So, I've given this place 4 tries before I reviewed, because I was hoping certain issues would be worked out.

First of, the food is actually really good. Fresh meat and cheeses, fresh bread. This Philly cheese steaks are really good.

The issue comes from the wait times. I'm not kidding.. the first time I went there, I was second in line. I didn't get my food for almost 40 minutes. I'm sure they were having a bad night, but still... 40... minutes.... A lot of it seems to be the processes. They take like 4 orders at once before ringing out the first person. People seem disorganized and are constantly apologizing for the long wait. I took my wife there this afternoon. Was third in line. 25 minutes. It's sort of nuts, but the food is so good. :/

If you order online, you'll still be waiting. I've seen customers get REALLY angry for having to wait long after their order is expected. Just be patient.

I hope to go back some time, but I'll likely give it a few months for them to sort stuff out. And yeah, the wait times are had enough to drop...

I frequent this Jersey Mike’s Subs about once a week to every two weeks on my lunch break, and I am impressed every time!

The establishment is clean, the food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly.

As a regular, who does not branch out much with my food choices, the staff have memorized my order to a point where I rarely have to say anything when I walk in. They ask about my day, and appear to generally be interested. This is rare these days, as a lot of staff at restaurants seem to just want to shuffle you through the line and get you out of the restaurant. Not here though, and this is very, very appreciated!

I always get a mini turkey on wheat that is specialized to my picky tastes. The staff are quick and efficient at putting it together, and it always tastes fresh and delicious! It is the perfect serving size too, so I don’t feel overfull going back to work!
