Great steakhouse at reasonable prices in the Lynnwood area!! I took my parents here for a Christmas time dinner and I’m glad I did because the steaks taste amazing. They both really liked it. The ambiance is nice and there are lots of seats (however they do fill up fast!). I would definitely come again and make reservations ahead of time.
Food I ordered the Kansas City striploin (18 oz) because it was a holiday menu item that was coming to an end soon and I wanted to give the time limited a shot. If you have the opportunity to get it, I would highly RECOMMEND! The steak is HUGE, super filling, tons of meat with a good amount of fat (but not too much). The garlic butter confit was just extra flavor that went so well with the steak. Mashed potatoes as a side are a great choice!
The mushroom Neptune was a shared appetizer for the family and it was pretty good too. Super hot when it gets to the table so be careful. 6 pieces to share!
My parents had the rib eye and filet mignon and they both liked their dish.
Atmosphere I was surprised by how large the restaurant was when I was first walking to my table. I saw there was also outdoor seating areas that are covered. The booths are comfortable and the lighting was not too dark or bright. Noise level for such a large restaurant with so many people was not too loud either. Great for a fancy dinner.
Pricing As a steakhouse, prices are going to be a little pricey. But compared to other much more expensive steakhouses, the Keg is not bad. Definitely felt like the quality of steak and food that I got was worth the price I paid!
Service The service was excellent. The server would check in with the table frequently to make sure the food was to our liking and that we had everything. The waiting area staff was nice and seated us promptly after we checked in for our reservation.
Other I would recommend making a reservation before going!!! I went in the day after Christmas for dinner at 5pm and I’m glad I did. After we checked in I got seated in about 10 minutes. I overheard the wait time for walk in were about a hour! On a Monday night! Plenty of parking...
Read moreI had been excited to experience this restaurant, having chosen it for a Sunday evening date night with my husband after hearing good things about it from friends and neighbors. The entire experience, while not terrible, fell into the realm of "okay." The restaurant itself was clean, and our server efficiently attended to us without delving into excessive small talk. Our time there was enjoyable, but it didn't manage to leave a lasting impression.
The quality of the food, unfortunately, didn't transcend beyond what we could have easily prepared at home. We found ourselves underwhelmed, as the dishes lacked the outstanding flavors we had hoped for. Our seating choice in the bar area, at one of the bar tables, turned out to be rather awkwardly positioned. I found myself regretting not having kept our reservation in the dining room. It took roughly 15 minutes before the bartender was able to acknowledge our presence, which was somewhat expected given the busyness of the establishment.
The wine selection was adequate, but left us with the idea that, in the future, we should inquire about corkage service and bring our own bottle.
Our meal consisted of a teriyaki sirloin, which we requested to be cooked medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium well. Similarly, the baseball sirloin we ordered blue rare arrived closer to medium rare. When our server eventually circled back to inquire about our meal, we had already made the decision not to voice our concerns. It had been ~10 minutes we already had our steaks and we didn't want to wait for the replacements. It must have been evident we were done, as our server brought us the check, dropped it off and walked away giving us no option for dessert.
While I wouldn't be opposed to going to The Keg again, I would go for appetizers and happy hour with friends rather than a steakhouse date night. The service, food and atmosphere align much better with those expectations. Save the steakhouse experience Anthony's Wood Fire Grill or make drive for...
Read moreThis is the second time we have celebrated a family event here. Tonight we had 17 family members. They were not able to accommodate us at one table which was a bummer considering we are all family. They could have had us at one table however we would have had to wait for an hour and half later even though we made reservations as soon as they opened for the day. The service was outstanding, our waiter which I am frustrated that I never got his name or heard him say it was amazing. Tall black male with glasses. His personality was very enjoyable rolled with any and all comments and perfected the meal. He treated everyone with a focused attentive precise service. I ended up tipping him 27%.
We had the rib-eye with shrimp, fillet-mignon, twice baked potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes were outstanding, the steaks were cooked to perfection. The food here is higher end quality and it is obvious prepared by a accomplished Chef. It was my sons 16th birthday and due to our last family celebration here he chose to come back. The waiter focused on my son giving him the deserved attention. The waiter brought him a on the house ice cream cake which was like the Rams mud pie however ten times better flavor. I want to go back just for this pie!! The waiter also brought us a crème brûlée which was also on the house. The crème brûlée was the best I have ever had. I had a Tito's Mule and just like the food it was the best mule I have had which is my number two most ordered drink.
Besides for the inability to accommodate our extremely large family with one table everything else was perfect.
Since Claim Jumpers has closed which they were always able to accommodate our large family, we will make this our restaurant to celebrate our family milestones.
And yea the 17 of us our all family and this dinner was only less than half of our...
