I have an incredibly difficult time writing bad reviews, but i’m pretty sure I’m done with this place…I’ve been a frequent customer (literally once a week/or 2 unless they’re closed) at Sawasdee Thai 2 in New Hudson for over a decade, until recently, the food has been amazing (even though the heat/spice levels are completely inconsistent which I accept and don’t have a big problem with), which is why we come back endlessly…recently though the food has been between mediocre and downright awful! The only time we’ve ever complained about Sawasdee’s food to them (or anyone) was recently when we received straight up rotten shrimp (as in stinking, slimy, makes you vomit literal garbage—and when it’s covered in curry and noodles, you don’t realize til it’s in your mouth)…now our most recent order was a container of sauce with 4 rubbery shrimp, 2 pieces of eggplant (which i ordered extra and was charged more for) and a couple pieces of onion and mushroom. I don’t know if they have a new cook, or part of me thinks it might be retaliation for trying to inform them (super nicely and calmly btw) that they’ve been serving rotten seafood, but after several horrible meals in a row, costing us around $50, i can’t fathom wasting more money giving them yet another chance to make...
Read moreMade the honest mistake of placing my carry out lunch order from the West Bloomfield location instead of New Hudson. I called West Bloomfield back to cancel 5 minutes later (with an apology, explanation, and gruff confirmation before the clerk shouted in another language then hung up on me) before placing my order at the New Hudson location. Evidently the owner felt compelled to call New Hudson and inform them not to fulfill my order, but gave me no notification of this decision. I therefore showed up to pick up my order 20 minutes later and was told they hadn't made it due to it being "already ready" in West Bloomfield.
Absolutely dumbfounded by such an overtly spiteful business decision to punish a customer for innocent user error. The 5 minutes worth of initial food prep was already a sunk cost, yet wasting my 50 minutes (waiting 20 on what I thought was my order being prepared followed by having to start over elsewhere for lunch locally then) was completely unnecessary.

THEN we replace the order when our order walks back in with the wrong customers. After being there an hour we get our order and the 2 orders of C5 was really one order split in two boxes. They were dry with 1 piece of lettuce. The 2 spring rolls were RAW and after being lied to by the girl at the counter she offered us a free appetizer that we never got. I feel robbed.
