Whole Hearted Winery Brewery & Distillery — Restaurant in Lyon Charter Township

Celebrated a friends birthday at Whole Hearted Winery on Friday. Experience from booking a reservation to leaving was 12/10.

Our servers (I’m terrible with names I apologize) were both very friendly, bubbly and very informative. They took their time explaining the menu to us. We felt very welcomed. The winery pre made a label for our friends birthday and put it on a bottle of wine of my choosing to surprise her with when we arrived. Little details like this is why we loved this winery!

Wine was amazing! One of our favourite parts of this winery, is that the wine is listed by sweet/ dry and their flavours. We had a couple in our group who weren’t big wine drinkers, this made choosing their tastings very easy for them. My favourite was the Rhubarb! The rhubarb is named and supplied by a local. The server knew all the details for each of the wines.

Food was a limited selection like most wineries. Very good though!

Atmosphere was great! The winery was decorated well for Halloween. They have igloo’s outside which are very cute! We decided to sit on patio at a regular table as it was beautiful weather.

Highly recommend this winery! We will crossing the border again...

BEST experience ever!! I am new to the world of wine, and needed help finding my way. Not only did I get to sample different wines - but I learned so much about it during the tasting!

The owners are incredibly friendly, and super fun to talk with. They truly made all the difference in educating us about the wine we were drinking, and how to enjoy it to its fullest extent! Do you know how to correct an acidic wine? I do, NOW! ;) hands down the best experience, and I’m so grateful that they are open to sharing their love, knowledge, and passion with the rest of us.

The venue is so beautiful! The food we had was amazing (deep dish pizza, Mac and cheese bites, and pretzel bites)!

If you’re nervous about parking or where to go in - don’t be! Lots of parking and it’s clearly marked where to head into the building! It’s also ramp accessible! They have a covered patio as well!

If wine isn’t your jam, they also have spirits, cocktails, and soda! You can also see all of the wines that they have won metals for - right on the wine tasting sheet!

I urge you to come in and support this business and these incredible people!! I already can’t wait...

I saw this place online and have been meaning to stop by. So when we were out in that area Saturday, I was so excited to see that it was so close to where were driving.

We didn’t know that it didn’t open until 1pm, but our 12:30pm arrival was no problem for them. They let us hang out in their outdoor seating area with our golden retriever and even brought him a bowl of ice water. :)

We each got a flight of 6 wines that we picked from a comprehensive list that was organized according to tastes/preferences. With our flights came free waters and oyster crackers to clean our palates in between samples. One of the owners came out to talk us through each of the samples and even gave us a few extras to try, to see the taste differences!
