Billy Jo's Drive Thru — Restaurant in Lyons Township

𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 20 𝘺𝘳𝘴 𝘪 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘻 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘮𝘥 i like to stay with in a single business owner type restaurants but i just left the drive thru i ordered 4 hot dogs and 2 lrg fries 1 pizza puff. How can u screw that up. Every item I went to bite into was cold all hot dogs cold , threw them out I should of drove there and had them remade i am so tired of the quality of the food nothing is given in thought that it could been my last money to feed myself and my son. I decided to give my money here I could went anywhere there’s a ton of gyro places the fries cold like box the fries they were extremely soggy like the oil used was either turned off to start closing but come on 840pm is alil to early the fries no crisp nothing , cold not hot. If I wanted to waste my money I should went to McDonald’s I’m exhausted on how often this happens as a single parent we eat out quite often I work double shifts to get the quality of the food I received I wouldn’t give it to no one pizza puff now that just took me over the limit I’m done at this place everyone knows no one can bite into a pizza puff cuz there extremely hot cold it was cold In the middle not a crisp to bite threw that out too. Thanks for the waste of 30$ plus gas. Do better what if this were you and you drove home from a long nite at work to get garbage food. Very nice place,BIG Windows, very open feel. Clean. Still not enough to help satisfy that feeling of hunger. Very disappointed in the food. Atmosphere like I said it's inviting. That's where it ends. The selection of food is no more different than most other fast food restaurants. With the exception of the big 3.

The food. Well I ordered a gyros, bland. Badly cut, and burnt pieces that kind of sort of killed any flavor that closely resembles a gyros. The fries, well let's just say that Wendy's are slightly better, but not by much. That being said, the person I was with said if we ever go back she would like a bit more chicken with her salad, even though she ordered a chicken sandwich.

In a city with so many hotdog stands and places to eat, one would be remissed to ask them why would you eat there? Simply put, knowing that there are so many places to eat at. Why indeed? I guess to venture out into the unknown? Perhaps. Or maybe because we were hungry. Or both. Just remember. Stick to the local family owned business. All others need not apply. Especially franchises.

Ok let me just day me and my family came to Billy Joe's some years back due to seeing them in Chicago' Best episode. We gave them a try on our cheat night of the week and everything we ordered was amazing including my gyro sandwich. Well, I've been there on my own 3 times and this will be my last. The first visit was awesome my food was prepared very nice. Nicely slices gyro meat, fried were perfect. 2nd visit was terrible I'm not sure why the service and food is different and I realized the times it was bad was when this 1 particular employee was taking orders at the window after this 3rd time. 3rd time order my same order thought I will give them another shot maybe it was just an off night 🤔! Why I do that, 3rd time ordered my usual got home and my gyro sandwich looked as if I was giving scraping of whatever meat was leftover no whole peices at all. Very small scraping peices. I was so upset but ate it of course due to the drive back and I was exhausted been out all day. Never again will I order from Billy Joe's!
