Rigjt iff the bat the price is higher that average at this location. Bowl oatmeal with glass of milk for myself and a strawberry banana chocolate toast thing with a cup of cappuccino came to 27.00. Now for Chicago suburbs that is on the high side BUT this was not your fathers oatmeal. This bowl was half full of oatmeal then covered with blackberries raspberries blueberries on one edge. Then a row of sliced bananas ( an entire banana) then strawberries. A row of seeds. A row of sliced almonds. And it goes on and on. I bet this would have tipped the scales at two pounds. Lol My wife’s chocolate banana strawberry presentation wS equally as large and very well presented. So in this case there is def value in your b fast. And you need to arrive hungry because the portions are very large Facility is clean. But a little crowded meaning the seating is crAmped. Plenty of on street free parking etc etc Well worth returning too again and again My only regret is that i did not take photos of these creations to...
Read moreSuch a relaxing and cozy spot! The decor creates a calm, inviting vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The menu offers a great mix of classic drinks and flavor-forward options, plus some food items too. I ordered a blueberry iced latte with half the flavor since I don’t like overly sweet drinks — the barista mentioned it’s usually on the sweeter side, but it turned out perfect for my taste. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be adding this place to my go-to list for coffee. Can’t wait to come back and try something to eat. I do agree with a few of the other reviews that the service could be more welcoming but the barista I had was helpful with making my drink. I did notice when I came in no one greeted me or asked for my order even after standing there for some time. I think maybe one person should be taking greeting and taking orders and the other two should be working on the drinks. Just my thoughts... I will still go back to...
Read moreI don’t make a habit of visiting suburban coffee shops. Sadly, there just aren’t enough like Owl and Lark, otherwise I’d be more tempted when I’m in DuPage county. This place is a gem. Quality where it counts. Counter Culture coffee roasters is the entry level to what makes this place great. The avocado toast is worth every penny (though I’d be interested in some more interesting bread options). Plus speciality drinks made with craftsmanship. Icing is: Gender-neutral restrooms with changing tables, making this place accessible and welcoming. Compostable cutlery and to-go containers plus washable real dishes if you’re enjoying in. Gorgeous interior design and hygge. Whoever has the green thumb in there is doing an amazing job. I’m sure there’s more, but these are what made this place...
