Reckon Coffee & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Macon

I ordered a chai latte, my boyfriend ordered a cafe au lait, and we both ordered breakfast burritos. It took 20 minutes for us to get our drinks, his which was just a cup of coffee he added cream to himself (makes you wonder why cafe au lait is a menu item when it's just the same as ordering a black coffee), and my chai had coffee in it. It took so long to get our drinks I didn't want to correct them, as they had gotten very busy. They also waited until they gave us our drinks to let us know the burrito would take a while longer since the kitchen of the restaurant makes it, and if we wanted we could just get croissant sandwiches instead. Makes you wonder why they didn't suggest that in the first place. I don't blame the baristas, they were very friendly and the place was slammed by the time we left (half an hour after we placed our order), but something needs to change. That being said, the croissant sandwiches were good, despite not being what we wanted, and my "chai"...

Went for breakfast about 9am and they were out of almost everything. Tried to order breakfast sandwiches and were told that the kitchen would eventually be making some, but couldn't provide any more information than that. Ended up getting a couple of danishes, which was the only highlight. They were out of cold brew, so got an iced coffee, which was sickeningly sweet. Wife asked what teas were available because the menu board wasn't on and they weren't listed anywhere. The employee seemed annoyed that she asked what was available and only gave her earl grey as an option. The coffee shop was empty when we went, so we figured we had gotten there at a good time, but now realize that it was probably empty because it wasn't worth visiting. We now understand all of the other 1 star reviews. Does not seem like management has done anything to improve upon...

I had an amazing experience at the Reckon Coffee Shop located in Hotel 45 in Macon, GA. My barista, Whitney, was incredibly knowledgeable and made my visit truly memorable. I ordered a chai latte with vanilla, but the previous barista mistakenly added coffee. When I brought it to Whitney's attention, she happily remade my drink without hesitation.
