My first time at this location for lunch with friends. They raved on and on about the food and beer. I’m not a beer drinker but definitely love food. So I came for the experience. Ordering is done at a counter and then delivered to your perch. The dining area is filled with brewing equipment and has high ceilings. As you can imagine, the acoustics help the sound resonate, and it has a cafeteria roar. The food has nice presentation but the flavor was lacking. Basic average burgers and limp natural cut fries. The cheese curds wanted to be good but the beer batter was too light and it lacked the texture to complement the gooey cheese. I don’t drink, so I did not have a beer delivered to the table. I missed out on even getting a beverage, because I found the drink fountain just before we left. It’s not anywhere near the ordering counter but down a hallway on the way to the restroom. The manager did show concern about the uneaten food, offered to buy me a beer, but I don’t drink. There is other great reviews of this place and my friends love it. So I don’t want to discourage others. However a six dollar burger and fries shouldn’t cost fifteen dollars. In my opinion the menu is overpriced. I’m quite sure it has to do with the locations overhead. I would eat here again to support local businesses but it’s not my first choice.

Okay, we were super excited to try this place. I ordered the “Nashville” Hot Chicken Sandwich and thought it would come out with the ghost pepper sauce and it would be hot. Nope. Not even a smidgen of hot. I think they forgot the sauce altogether or even the “Nashville” hot level. The sandwich was not spicy at all. It came with cole slaw but was kale slaw. My sandwich was seriously swimming in grease. The chicken breading was burnt from them using old frying oil. The only hot item was the fried pickles and they were overly salty but ok. My boyfriend preferred the Ocmulgee original and it came out raw. Like pink raw. He ordered medium and he just ate it because he’s just that kind of guy and won’t make a big deal and have someone just remake it. I was excited for the shoe string fries except they were dry, crunchy, cold and zero taste. They had been sitting under the heat lamp quite a while. They were awful. Someone recommended this place and not even sure why but unfortunately our experience was horrible. I ate half my sandwich and a few pickle chips and threw the rest away. He ate his burger the best he could and I seriously hope he doesn’t get sick from the burger not being cooked. Everyone was nice inside. It wasn’t busy. The place seemed clean inside but not the outside tables. They were all ready to go home. LOL

Ocmulgee Brewpub hands down has one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my entire existence. This restaurant was suggested to us by another restaurant owner (Christy Lee owner of Parish on Cherry - Check it out) and I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed about the restaurant is there is a huge distillery in the front window, so I thought to myself I don't drink beer the food won't be good. I WAS WRONG this restaurant is so unique from the decor to the menu. The burger was so yummy and juicy, the fries seasoned to perfection and the drinks were tasty. 10 for 10 for sure! It gives an elevated lunch room feel but its super nice inside. I never thought I would eat a burger with fruit on it but the Eat a Peach is a must try. They also make all of their sauces from scratch even the ketchup which was so good but the truffle aioli is the king of sauces here I put it on everything from my burger to the fries. They need to bottle this stuff! I will definitely be back! What we ate: Eat a Peach Holy Peyote Patty Melt Build Your Own All sandwiches came with fries and we had the fountain drinks which don't contain high fructose corn syrup some of the flavors included: blueberry, pink lemonade, lemon lime, Mexican cola, and root beer. It was really good!

This is kind of an unassuming place. I don't know if you would expect the quality of food that you get from the looks of the place. The decor definitely has a trendy pub vibe, but there is a very casual atmosphere. You might wonder why a side of fries costs almost $10. It is because there is no way possible that you could eat them all. If you are ordering for kids, you could feed four kids ages 10 and under with two meals and an extra sandwich, or maybe three if one or two of them is particularly ravenous. Make sure you know whether your kids like sweet potato fries or not before you order, because mine got snatched 😐 There is a $2 upcharge if you sub your hand-cut fries with sweet potato fries. Two of my kids had the grilled cheese, which comes made on their hamburger bun, one had the chicken nuggets, which are nice, big, thickly-breaded chunks of chicken breast. I had the chicken salad sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend got a fried chicken sandwich with honey mustard on it, and that thing was massive. She also ordered fried pickles, and it was enough for at least four people. There are some things I didn't like that would make for a perfect visit if they were remedied. The text message receipt never showed up to my phone, so I had to go back after we ate and get them to print it. The lids didn't fit the cups at all, which is rough when you have a bunch of children with you or are walking your cup outside. The music was too loud inside. I was visiting with a hearing impaired friend, and it made it difficult for her to communicate, so we ate outside. We did enjoy eating outside. I don't recall anyone coming to check on us after we received our food, but everything was amazing, so it didn't really matter. Drinks are self-serve. Don't expect your food to come out rapid-fire. We didn't have to wait long, but it's not fast food. There is a sign that shows that there is a changing table in the handicap stall in the women's restroom. There is not. There is what looks like some kind of hardware storage cabinet that comes up to about your hips from the ground, and it had a toilet paper holder on it. Make sure you get your toilet paper before you go to the toilet, because there's no toilet paper in the wall dispenser, and there is no way, unless you are Stretch Armstrong or Inspector Gadget, that you can reach the toilet paper from the toilet. The other toilet was filled to the brim with water. Go for the food, not the bathroom 🤣 If you found this review helpful, please give it a...

Ocmulgee Brewpub's atmosphere is nice and casual, and the restaurant is very bright and clean looking.

They make their own sodas, which are all really unique. I highly recommend and thoroughly enjoy their blueberry soda. My husband and I tried the root beer, which we felt was lacking in sweetness but had a great flavor!

I really like the ordering process here because usually I need a couple minutes to decide what I want. The menus are by the door to pick up and look at. Then when you've decided on your order, you may return them at the counter where you order. With this system, I don't have to make any waiter wait a long time on me to make a decision; I just look over the menu while I sit down, pick something, walk to the register to order, then my food is brought out to me!

My husband and I visited here for the 4th time recently and our experience was interesting. We ordered, sat down to wait on our food, and it came out quickly! Right before we took it we discovered it was wrong (a little mixed up).

Our waitress attempted to correct the order at once, but didn't have a pleasant attitude, and we perceived she felt inconvenienced by our order being incorrect. The waitress then brought our food back to us -after looking over the receipt we noticed the order had been taken wrong, so we explained that and apologized to the waitress. After she walked away we noticed some things had been left off our order, so we took our food back to the counter and explained. A man (one of the managers we assumed!) named James helped us.

James was very genuinely apologetic and kind, and asked if he could get us anything else- listing some options. When he said cheese curds, I lit up, so my husband spoke for me and asked for those- and we were very grateful! When he brought the cheese curds to us, he explained they had a lot of new employees and apologized again! The cheese curds were alright to me. The friends we were with and I agreed that they were overly greasy, and too salty, with too much batter and not quite enough cheese. However I can see how some people might enjoy them.

We really appreciated James' patience and kindness in going above and beyond to apologize and compensate us for the minor inconveniences of our experience. We definitely tried to be understanding because they were busy and it was game day, so I'm sure they were all tired and stressed! Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would...
