This restaurant cuts corners, and you will be the one to pay for it. I went and had Christmas Dinner at Loom with my partner, and ordered the special Christmas Prime Rib. When it came out, it was completely overcooked and dry. It was honestly tough as old boots. In addition to this, the mashed potatoes were cold and gloopy, and my side of Green beans consisted of 5 under-seasoned beans. When I brought up my concerns about the meal to the waitress she said "Sorry you're not loving it, the prime rib is definitely cooked well done, because they cooked all of it this morning, and some customers have not ordered this dish because of that. Anyways might I recommend some of our desserts?" and walked away. There was no indication on the menu or from the waitress before I ordered that the prime rib would be cooked lazily and incorrectly by the chefs, and no offer of any sort of resolution. My concerns were completely dismissed and steamrolled over by the staff, and if it wasn't Christmas I would have made a bigger scene and not paid for this joke of a meal. 38 Dollars a plate for "well-done" charcoal that was sold as prime rib. Oh, and 5 green beans. Merry Christmas, I will never eat here again, and I will make sure nobody in my circle ever steps foot in the joke known as Loom. AVOID unless you like overpaying for food that is worse than you would get at waffle house, IHOP, or any other Diner. Get a big mac and have a better night, I am not exaggerating at all.

First, the service was fantastic. That's a huge plus. Charles was very attentive and was great all night. We went in on Thanksgiving Night, in town to visit family. And while the meal was pleasant, several dishes were VERY over-seasoned. The Pimento Fritters were strangely dry and we didn't see any pimento in the cheese. But, it was also VERY salty. So, not great. The wife had the turkey and dressing. There was plenty of both with really good gravy but the turkey and asparagus were both salty. I had the Otis Fillet and it was delicious. Unfortunately, the blackened crab was salty but was bearable when mixed with the delicious garlic potatoes and holindaisse sauce. The steak itself was surprising larger than expected and very well cooked. We finished with the Sweet Potato Cheesecake and it was very good but was heavily spiced with those autumnal flavors that made it seem more pumpkin than sweet potatoes. Personally, don't care. They're all the same to me but, yeah. Overall, it was good. Outstanding? No. And maybe it was the special menu that got em. Maybe the seasoner in the kitchen had a burned tongue or a cold and it affected the taste testing. Either way, I hope they figured it out. Also, very pleasant restaurant to eat in. The tables had space and it was easy to have conversation without having to whisper or shout over music. Very nice.

We waited about 15 minutes before waitress came to collect our order, and then another 40 minutes for the food to be made. Several other people who arrived AFTER us, already got their food and we're almost done before we even received a menu to look at. Total one hour before we received our food. Then our server PATRICIA made a mistake splitting our checks multiple times. She legit only brought us WATER the entire meal. Our waitress Patricia, only brought WATER in the 1.5 hours we were here, and then made mistake last with our check. Then after we received our food, the food was not up to par. The southern omelette had so much oil it was swimming in it. This picture was taken after I used my napkin to dab as much as possible from the plate. The Eggs Benedict egg was not runny AT. ALL. the eggs Benedict came with fully cooked egg. The hollandaise sauce was equally not runny and almost looked like scrambled eggs. This entire experience from wait staff to food was very very poor. Very unfortunate because it was expected to be better since it's in a hotel. This entire experience was horrible and I would never never come back and recommend that future patrons be very careful.

Let me caveat this review by stating that we were a large group (there were 14 of us) but we did make a reservation. I just wanted to mention that since, as a former server, the size of a group does matter. That being said, we arrived on time and the restaurant was almost completely empty, there was only one table occupied with just one person sitting there. We still had to wait almost 30 mins until we were sat, which was odd. When we left there were still only 3-4 tables occupied so it wasn't a busy night. Their bar was very understocked, they were out of at least 50% of the alcohol we requested and often even our follow up drinks couldn't be made. The service we received was just a notch below okay - refills were delivered that weren't requested and others that requested refills never received them. That was frustrating to those that were driving as they didn't want another drink, but it was difficult to catch our server so instead we just gave our drinks to folks that didn't receive theirs (even though it wasn't what they ordered). The food took quite a while to come out, however most of my coworkers did like their meals! Unfortunately my salmon was really overcooked and salty, but the appetizers were quite good, particularly the fried shrimp. Overall it wasn't a great experience, especially considering the price, but certainly wasn't terrible. We expected to see an automatic tip on the bill, but were surprised to see that it was set at 20%. We would have absolutely tipped 15% simply because of the size of our group, but would have preferred to make the choice to tip over the standard rate, considering the...

Came in on a Friday night at 9pm and sat at the Bar. The restaurant was not very busy so I was able to sit immediately. I was promptly greeted by the bartender Victoria. I ordered the pimento cheese dip, the steak & frites, the honey glazed brussel sprouts and the kids cheese burger. Sofia the manager came by to check multiple times through out the night. Both Sofia and Victoria made the customer experience top notch. Now to talk about the food. If you haven't been here you need to come before the rest of Macon figures out how good it is. The pimento cheese dip is very creamy , and perfect pimento and bacon blend, it also comes with some of the best grilled sourdough I've had. If you dont get the steak and frites you have missed out on one of the best entree's on the menu. I got my steak cooked medium which was perfect in temperature, the chimichurri was well balanced and paired perfectly with the aoli. The fresh cut fries were cooked perfectly and for those that are worried about fried foods this is cooked in beef tallow giving them that perfect flavor. Do not, I repeat do not sleep on the honey glazed Brussel sprouts, the flavor and the grill are perfect so much so that I would come in just for them. The kids burger is fantastic, it is a classic smash burger using quality beef and comes on a super soft roll. It is seasoned well and can be adorned with whatever condiments you would like. If you are staying at Hotel 45 definitely get at least one meal at Loom, and if you are in Macon as a local do not hesitate to come in they have valet parking which is validated (free) as long as you eat at Loom or visit the rooftop...

Made a reservation for 6 a months in advance for my daughter's graduation dinner after reviewing the menu and photos. It seemed like a nice place for a celebration dinner. We received a text two hours before our reservation saying they wouldn't be accepting credit cards for payment. We agreed to pay cash and kept the reservation. When we arrived the hostess offered to seat us upstairs at a table at the bar. It looked cozy, so we agreed, only to be told by the manager (Stephanie) 10 minutes later that the bartender (Simon) didn't want to do table service for us (only 2 other people in the bar) and we would have to eat downstairs. We didn't complain and moved back downstairs. There were only 3 main dishes, soup, salads and appetizers to choose from on the menu. The menu didn't represent what was posted online in any way. We made the best choices we could and then waited and waited for our food. Our reservation was at 6:30pm, but we didn't get our main course until 8pm. Several plates were barely warm, almost as if they had been microwaved. The potato soup had so much pepper in it we couldn't eat it. At one point, the server came by and asked if our water tasted ok. Mind you, this was after we had already drank most of the water in our glasses. They offered us free dessert, but we were so cold from sitting under an air conditioning vent that we opted to leave. This restaurant is often chosen for special events like we did, but I would not recommend it under the...
