I took a pottery class along with a few of my girlfriends and we had an amazing time. The instructor, Johnnie was wonderful, so pleasant, and very patient. We made a coil pot and 2 beer steins. The class was supposed to be 2 hours but the atmosphere was very relaxed and we were able to take as much time we needed. A couple of girls in our group don't have a lot of art experience and Johnnie was very kind and was always available to help. We were also allowed to go down the street to the brewery and bring back drinks. I will definitely be back for more classes and events. This was my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The 567 Center for Renewal's Great Art Hunt delivered the perfect event to spend a day playing and exploring downtown's art scene. This scavenger hunt did not disappoint! It had participants rambling all over downtown Macon, GA. Already planning on signing up next year.

567 fosters art and artists. It is both creative and provides a measurable impact on our economy, health and well being. It is one of the reasons that our community contines to thrive in the world at large. I am proud to be a member of this fine organization.

This is a wonderfully curated gallery, although most of my experiences there have been taking various workshops/classes, including ceramics, watercolors, stained glass, and hot glass; they've all been a joy. I've done 90-minute classes and multi-week courses, with a variety of instructors, alone and with friends, and they've all been valuable experiences. All the instructors have been knowledgeable, personable, and inspiring. If you don't see a class that speaks to you at the moment, just sign up for the newsletter or follow their Facebook page and check the offerings every now and then, and eventually something will catch your eye. I actually wasn't sure I wanted to do hot glass when I signed up for it (super-hot molten glass is very intimidating), but that ended up being a top 3 class for me, and every pottery class with Heatherly...

My bestfriend & I went here for a pottery class & 10/10. 1st time ever doing it. The instructor was really nice & very informative. She mentioned that she taught kindergarten & I could tell she had a passion for teaching. She helped us center each clay with no complaints. Within the 2 hour time slot I was able to create 3 different products & my bestfriend 4. One of mine was ruined due to having acrylic nails (Disclaimer: don’t wear nails, even if they are short! You will have problems lol). I could see growth in both of our work as we progressed. We both enjoyed it a lot & will be returning. Very low key. Very calming. Very artsy....
