Heres the Sensory Scoop: The lobby is perfect for sensory seekers, lots to look at, covering every wall, floor to ceiling. If that is not you, I suggest keeping your eyes on the floor & ear plugs on hand. Checked in at the desk, filled out waivers on tablets, then was led to the back of the building to use the Rage Room(s). Protective goggles and leather gloves are provided there & the jumpsuits (featured in photos) seem like they would provide very little protection against larger, fast moving chunks of glass & ceramic. Plan to wear closed toed shoes & some modest, substantial pants/top, but be aware that you will get very sweaty when smashing stuff for 15-20min.
You don’t have to play music while you smash, but you have the opportunity to plug your phone in to the speakers in each rage room. It was loud enough that it could be heard over the smashing sounds in the small, enclosed room and (noise) protective ear wear is NOT included. Although the jumpsuit/gloves covers everything except your face, you can still expect glass to try to get its way into your suit&against your skin.
Overall I’m glad I wore my earplugs, be sure to zip your jumpsuit up all the way, and consider additional PPE beyond the provided goggles & gloves (&paper thin, plastic jump suit). With that in mind, I was able to have a good time despite having low energy. The rage room was cathartic & I wish there were options beyond the sledgehammer, crowbar, aluminum baseball bat— my hands are all bruised up where I was...
Read moreMe and my friend went here two weeks ago and did the rage room and mummy's revenge escape room.. this was our 1st time doing both things. 1st the rage room was tiny and we paid 10 bucks extra for 3 items and still had 5 mins left on the 20 min timer. In my opinion it was overpriced for what it was. Then we tried the escape room with TWO ppl. The instructions was terrible and the staff barely helped and didn't "sell" the room theme. I didn't know what a bad escape room was til we drove 2hrs to try to beat the room knowing what we already knew. Just to be told we couldn't play with TWO ppl bc it was impossible to solve. Weird! It was a blessing in disguise bc we went to the one 10 mins away in royal oak and Wow the difference in vibes and staff! I recommend going to BREAKOUT 100% and we already...
Read moreI had a good and a bad experience. We actually beat the room with a few minutes left (thanks to some regulars that come all the time). We did an intermediate room but it was our first time playing an Escape Room (I would definitely do a beginners room next time.
Now the good part is that we won, it felt like a moment in Resident Evil with the solving puzzles. The room that we played was very challenging.
Now the bad part is that we did the room with some regulars. They kind of spoiled it for us. They knew 95% of the room but they never beat the room before hand.
All and all, we had a great time. I wouldn't play with someone who did the room before hand again. They give away all the clues. It was kind of frustrating. I would definitely come back to...
