Although the food is pretty good they are always short of Servers. So expect a wait and often a long wait regardless of when you go but especially during lunch and dinner hours. My complaint is with the management. Today i took my 5 yr old grandson to lunch at this Las Margaritas in Canal Winchester. I ordered a chicken burrito choice off the lunch menu. It was around 3:15pm. Apparently we had a new Server who wrote my menu choice as a dinner portion instead of lunch even though I showed her the item i wanted on their Lunch Menu. Once my food came i saw it had two small burritos instead of the one that comes with the lunch portion. I told our Server immediately that i ordered the lunch portion asking if my order was right. She said its okay she'd still charge me the lunch price since it was her mistake. Well, half way through the meal the Server came back to say she's sorry but the manager said she can't give me the lunch price, which was $2 less than dinner, unless I take a burrito off my plate and give it back! Seriously Unbelievable! She said i could either do that or pay dinner price. I then spoke with the manager who reiterated what the Server said. She tried to blame our Server saying she's new and made a mistake that she should have came and got the whole plate of food and they'd have made a lunch portion! I told this manager how unprofessional and rude that was and that since it wasn't my fault i shouldn't have to pay extra or remove food from my plate half way through my meal. That any other manager of any restaurant would have just let it go, not charging me more for the wrong portion because the customers always right and then take it up with the Server who made the mistake. Whats more is they would throw my meal away anyway had they gotten it back! But they were more worried about $2 than losing a customer. In the end the manager said she's sorry but its the manager above her that makes the rules and that manager was unavailable. This whole situation ruined my meal and time with my grandson not to mention it was embarrassing with all the other customers in the room staring at us as this went on. I will not go back to this Las Margaritas again. I was a good customer eating there at least twice a week. But since i was treated so rudely by the management they lost a good customer as well as my 4 adult children and...
Read morePowdered pink lemonade the grains of it were in our mouth! I went there this past friday night. It was busy when we got there but slowed down quickly. We were a party of 6. Our waitress was horrible. Part of our food came out and was cold before we got the rest. The food has NO flavor. As an Hispanic (Mexican) family this was a horrible attempt to cater Hispanic food for white people. It had no flavor. We got tiny appetizer plates with rice, lettuce, what's supposed to quacamoli (less than a spoon full) and refried beans. Really? We got foil wrapped flour tortillas that were premade store bought and asked for corn and was given store bought ones as well. The beans are just nasty canned beans. I got the steak and chicken fajita that had absolutely no seasoning, my husband got carne asada which was super thick that just tasted like fried beef no seasoning. The others got camaroones Pacifica, no flavor as well. I don't know how this place survives especially where it's at. If white people think this is what Hispanic food tastes like, I feel so sorry for them and their expectations of a restaurant are extremely low. We waited 20 min. Just for silverware, the place wasn't busy. We waited so long my food was cold and I didnt even feel like eating after I tasted the food. We have been comtemplating opening a Mexican restaurant in Canal.. The next morning we were talking about our experience and decided we should do it. If this place is sucessful... We'll make a fortune with authentic, flavorful homemade fresh ingredients, made daily nothing out of a can, Tortilla, beans and all!! I wonder if any of these people who come to this restaurant even know what a homeade fresh ground corn tortilla tastes like? Probably not, seeing as how they are eating there and apparently keep coming back. Once was enough for us. To much money wasted for nothing...
Read moreThis review is for the germophobes like me. Giving a 2 star rating for 4 reasons. 1. The greeter brought our chips and salsa with her hands in the chips. 2. I ordered extra sour cream. When my food was brought to the table, the container with the extra sour cream was put on top of my food. That container was probably all over the kitchen counter and then they put it on top of my food leaving me to eat around the container and not be able to eat the rice that the container was pushed into. 3. When our water was brought out it contained lemon slices. Not unusual for restaurants, but we weren't asked. For those that don't know, lemon slices are one of the nastiest things you can order from a bar/restaurant. We would've ordered water without the lemon slices if asked. 4. They don't sell just Chorizo as an appetizer or dish. I had to order Chorizo with a cheese dip. Barely any Chorizo in the dip. The cheese dip is sold with chips, but if you add Chorizo, you don't get the chips. You get 3 tortilla shells. Maybe I'm missing it....eating dip with tortilla shells? Needless to say this restaurant isn't high on our list to revisit. Other than the stated issues, the server was good, food and alcoholic beverages were received quickly, but nothing that made my taste buds excited to return. We went to this restaurant as a second choice because our first choice was closed due to plumbing issues. If you don't mind contaminated food from hands and lemons and are not a Chorizo lover, then this place...
