Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Madison

Today 5/16/24 I went in at 11:18a and was back in my car by 11:20 a thank goodness I was vlogging my day and it’s time stamped through Snapchat. I originally only wanted 1 cinnamon sugar doughnut and 1 glaze , which totaled around $2.58 and I was told a $5 min to use my card so I said okay well let me just order half a dozen and get 4 sugar 2 glaze altogether. My total was about $7.62 the woman who I believe is probably the owner or manager asked if I wanted a receipt . I said no thankyou. And watch her close my ticket out print a receipt and stuck it in her drawer . I didn’t leave a tip nor did I authorize a tip or verbally give a tip. My card was charged $9.14 . She gave herself a 20% tip illegally. I do not have the receipt to prove this for my dispute and I am honestly pissed about this , it doesn’t matter that it’s $1.52 it’s the principle and INTEGRITY that this business does not have.

I will no longer be coming to this location . And today the sugar doughnuts actually had a strange bleachy chemical taste and I threw them away and only ate the 2 glaze doughnuts.

First time by came was a pleasent experience. Then they could no longer get the small sausages from r the kaloches. Ok not their fault, not a fan of the larger; ones from the other donut shops around. Major difference in flavor. So I came back to give it another try, no small sausages, so I am bought 6 of the larger ones, 6 fritters and a soda. The first was great. Then the 2nd had no jalapenos, so I checked the next and then the next, not what I ordered no peppers at all he tried to tell me they are in the sausages. Nice, friendly, & sparkling clean. Nice donut packaging, great tasting Kolache (hot dog wrapped in dough) 🌭 I will order 3 next time! No wonder they were piled high in the case! Go to THIS place for tasty donuts. They do not have a huge variety but stock the best sellers. This will for sure be my only donut shop. Located in a nice area. I just luved the experience. I'm sure ALL of the surrounding businesses eat their breakfast there. It just has that feel. THIS is the place to get high quality donuts for an office meeting. You WILL be the 🌟 of the office....
