I'd never been to this place before, so I didn't know what to expect.
Ordered three dishes, honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, and Mushroom beef for dine-in. All were amazing. The portion sizes were huge, and that's never a bad thing.
Ordered the original boba tea too, which was amazing too. The boba were squishy, and the tea had great flavor. Best I've ever had in Madison, for sure.
Violin and piano music is a bit off-key sometimes, but that's okay, just a personal preference.
Unfortunately, their pad thai is beyond depressing. I took it to go. It looks nothing like the picture. I don't know what it is about Madison, but I feel like good pad thais are very rare. This particular violation came from the fact that it didn't match the picture on the menu (see attached images). It contains cilantro, lemon (????), and cabbage. The cabbage is especially weird. The picture shows carrot cut into bean sprouts, and lime, which is how pad thai normally is. Genuinely don't know if I can eat the pad thai or should I just toss it in the garbage.
Overall, a positive experience, but the pad thai made it a four star instead of a five star. Had I not ordered that, I would've rated it five for sure.
Will come back again; while it is expensive, the flavors and portion sizes make it worth it.

Read moreWe came in around 7 PM on a Saturday night and the restaurant was absolutely packed, a full house with every table filled. Despite that, the service was impressively quick; all of our dishes came out within 10 minutes. We focused on traditional Chinese dishes, and every single plate delivered on flavor and authenticity. The steamed sea bass was delicate and perfectly seasoned with ginger and scallions, the clams had that rich black bean sauce depth, and the stir-fried pea tips were fresh and garlicky. The spicy beef packed heat while still being well-balanced, and the roasted duck had that classic juicy skin with tender meat. Overall, a meal that felt like just like it was made with love at home! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Read moreFirst time at Tai's and all my familiy loved it! The food is the main star here, like it should be. Just wanted to point out that don't expect a restaurant style of service, is mostly order in the counter and get everything yourself which is fine and if it helps with keeping cost down and food quality great, go right ahead! We tried the Singapore Chicken Dinner Special, Sesame Chicken and Sweet& Sour Chicken, everything was amazing. We also ordered the Cocount Boba Tea and Tai Boba Tea, the best I've had in Madison so far! Don't sleep on Tai's, oh and I have to mention how quick the food is prepared! in around 5 minutes we all had our meals after we ordered, wow! Also I would suggest ordering in the counter instead of the machine, we took a bit longer in the machine because everything is separated by category which can be a little confusing. Highly...
