I'm so disappointed. This was my favorite place, I loved the atmosphere and the food is awesome and the service is always good and friendly. However, proper hygiene needs to be addressed. We were sat where we could see the prep area and the kitchen. Our waitress was using her bare hands to prepare our salads instead of tongs or spoons. She was sprinkling the cheese with her fingers. When she brought us our salads I noticed her fingernails were dirty (like black something or other underneath). I couldn't eat my salad.. Then prior to our meals being brought out our waitress and another waitress were eating their food. They were eating their sandwich/burger and fries obviously with their hands and then licking their fingers. Didn't see hand washing and then our food was brought out. I was pretty grossed out so I didn't eat. I didn't complain cause i just don't do that and yes I should have. Especially with Covid still around. Hands should be washed constantly , nails should be cleaned and eating should be done at break time even if just quick break and then hands should be washed again. Maybe i'm paranoid and i'm so sorry but I've had Covid 3 times and the first two times were horrible. I don't want to keep getting sick cause i'm trying to live life. Local business should care and be cautious. I know it was hard on them during shut downs. Maybe restaurants should keep being super clean like they were right after opening back up. I'm so sorry for the poor review. I hope this places gets better. Would love to keep my tradition...

I would have given 2.5 stars if I could-just because the staff was so nice. But do NOT be fooled by these 5 and 4 star ratings. We visited this last weekend because this place had such great reviews we decided we couldn't miss it. The all you can eat breakfast-first, we expected a buffet style. It's a predesignated menu, they bring all of the item to you plated and just keep bringing you more plates as you want them. We skipped out on this. The Good: The scrambled eggs were 5 star. The feel was country and homey. The price was ok/typical The service-plenty of friendly staff! The bad: The price wasn't THAT good. The food was.... marginal. Our continental breakfast tasted better. Seriously. My hotel waffles were 10x better. My pancake tasted like pancake batter, you know how it smells and tastes raw. I don't LIKE syrup, and I had to use a decent amount. The coffee was very weak-but I feel like that appealed to the demographic that was in there at the time. I was "offered" the biscuit that was supposed to come with my meal after she brought the plates out. I declined to not cause issue, but was charged full price, instead of them substituting my added on pancake. Just a very disappointing $25 for 2...

Fortunately! Didn’t get a chance to even experience the food! The service was absolutely unacceptable and disgusting! We walked in and the hostess just waved us right back out, with nasty hand gestures! I’m guessing she was not taught early on in life, to “be a big girl and use her words.” We asked what was going on, and then she cared to share that breakfast was over, and we had to wait 30 minutes outside until they starting serving lunch! Despite the horrible first impression, we decided to wait. Thirty minutes later, we heard our name called. Our waitress walked us to our table, threw our menus at us, and said we could get our own drinks! Didn’t introduce us to the menu or offer anything! As she walked away, she loudly expressed to another waitress, that she was not getting our drinks! The entire time, the vibe, attitude and definitely the service, was absolutely horrible! At this point we decided we had enough of getting treated this way, and we decided to leave! So sad things went this way, folks in the area and the previous reviews, were highly recommending this place! We will for sure, never return! We hope they fix their service and wish them...

This was a little gem of a restaurant we found after visiting Wheels Through Time in Maggie Valley. Country Vittles is right down the road. We got the all you can eat dinner which is served family style, which means all the food is brought out to your table. No buffet line. They'll bring more as needed. The dinner included fried chicken(breast and wing), southern fried steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits and gravy, and cornbread. It was all very good. I'm not a huge fan of green beans, but I liked them. My only disappointment was the cornbread. It was a little dry and didn't have much corn flavor. It tasted more like a hush puppy. The service was excellent and we were served quickly. Everything was nice and clean and had nice decor. Many locals were there eating. We all know they won't be there if the place is no good! All the staff we dealt with was super sweet. The price was on the bargain side. Under $35 for two with non adult beverages. Give yourself some pleasure and stop here for breakfast or lunch. They're only open until 2pm, so don't wait too long. They also have all you can eat breakfast and normal meals on the menu.

This restaurant is in an old building, but the inside is well worth it with hot fresh old-fashioned homemade food, nice sweet waitresses, the best tea you could ever imagine and biscuits to die for. We had to open face turkey sandwich with fried okra and mashed potatoes and the patty melt with french fries. I give this place five stars all the way !!! I would come back and I would lose every paycheck to this business, if I had to rely on somebody cooking for me. . Do not pass this for breakfast or lunch. We came on a Sunday and they close at 2 o’clock, but they have an all you can eat buffet with the special pot roast, which is a family style with all the fixings, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and cornbread. Let me just tell you the woman that makes the biscuits here makes 400 a day and they go fast and they are delicious!🤤 5 Stars ⭐️

Looking for a hearty breakfast in a family friendly atmosphere, this is the perfect place. Although Very busy, because other breakfast restaurants in town were closed, we were greeted by a friendly host and the waiting list moved along fairly quickly with approximately a 15 minute wait. Waiting outside in the Valley of the Great Smoky Mountains is not a chore! Once inside, we noticed that the restaurant is actually quite sizable, with tables seated adequately apart so that each party can eat, visit, etc., Our server was lovely, very efficient. Prices were great and our breakfast of pork tenderloin and eggs was delicious! **super cute coffee mugs! We enjoyed it and will go back!
