I live in Tomkins Cove, NY, right near Bear Mountain State Park. I used to make a semi-annual pilgrimage down to the East Village to an old polish butcher who had the best kielbasa in the tri-state area. But since they closed up shop 10+ years ago I've been struggling to find a replacement. Luckily I found Janek's. They have killer homemade kielbasa, hot dogs, etc at very reasonable prices. Used to go there alot when I was in Ramapo College right down the road in the early 90s. I remember their sandwiches were great and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately I live all the way down in South Jersey now and havent been to Mahwah in over 20 years. Hopefully I will make it up there to visit someday soon and get to hit off...
