At this point, I might consider myself a bar pie connoisseur. Growing up in New York, my pizza experience was strictly Neapolitan (New York-style), so I didn’t even know what a bar pie was until I moved to Jersey. While I’m not saying it’s exclusive to Jersey, it certainly feels like a specialty here—and what a discovery it’s been! I’d heard plenty of buzz about Kinchley’s Tavern and finally had the chance to check it out this past Sunday. The place was bustling, and we were initially told there’d be a two-hour wait. But as luck would have it, a perfectly sized table for our group of six guys opened up just in time. Talk about a stroke of good fortune! Now, let’s talk pizza. The fra diavolo pie was an absolute masterpiece—razor-thin, crispy, and with just the right amount of heat to pack a flavorful punch without overpowering. It’s the kind of pie you savor with every bite. We also tried the garbage pie, and it did not disappoint. Loaded with toppings, it was the perfect complement to our meal. The waitstaff at Kinchley’s deserves a shoutout, too—attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, even with how busy they were. Their hospitality added to the great vibes of the evening. We had such a blast with the boys that I’m already planning my next visit—this time with my family. Kinchley’s isn’t just a place to grab a slice; it’s a full-on experience, and I can’t wait to relive it.

CASH ONLY - I have never seen a more busy place! Staff is extremely friendly and efficient though. It does feel a little overwhelming weaving in and out around tables at first. We made a reservation for 6:30 and sat around 7. The four of us ended up in a booth which I feel like is the best situation. My friends enjoyed the stuff clams and said they were very tasty. The mozzarella sticks were delicious such a nice fry on them, great cheese pull and delicious marinara. My friends enjoyed the white pie but I think the vodka pie was the favorite. We ordered sausage and onion which keep in mind raw onion vs. sautéed which is a different option when ordering. I had the sausage pepper and onion sandwich which was sooooo good! Great house made sausage, the marinara on it was tasty and I love that they sliced the sausage in half long ways so it fit better in the bread. We had some white wine and Moscow mules which there were no complaints from anyone on those, they were all delicious. Parking is a zoo so just be patient and careful. Great to see a place thrive for so long and keep doing what they do best!

I’ve always been a kinchley’s fan. The atmosphere is a family favorite. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this….but my entire family was treated with complete disrespect. My son has a disability; on top of that, he is extremely picky and will only chicken nuggets and french fries at this point. He’s 3 1/2 and any place that we have ever gone to it’s never been an issue that we bring McDonald’s for him, including Kinchley’s. We have been here many times, and never had an issue. However, the waitress that was working tonight was adamant that there was no outside food allowed, even though my son has a Disability. We spend well enough on food and alcohol to make up for what my son will be eating. Before he was even in the highchair, we were talking to multiple tables around us, of whom we knew. That’s when the waitress came over and said sorry, no outside food. I was flabbergasted, Thrown in left field without Jeter as my shortstop, and basically playing one on one basketball with Shaquille O’Neal, without Aaron Carter. We immediately walked out, I was not going to cause a scene . The tables around us were even questioning why they would not allow a three-year-old to keep outside food considering he has a disability and he’s three years. We have never seen this waitress before, and we will not tolerate that sort of patronage. We have always been loyal customers, and we even knew a bunch of families that were at separate tables. They all saw what happened and agreed with us. This was the most disrespected that I felt and not to mention it was my husband’s birthday and most of all you disrespected my son, who is...

Everyone knows that the pizza is the bomb! Kinchley's is in my Top 5 for Pizzeria's. Unfortunately their customer service is on the opposite side of that scale.

I've ordered pizza from there several times to take home to eat in the comforts of my own domain. This time I went and sat down to eat. I left cash in the car. I had CC on me but why do a cash advance when I have plenty on hand in my console?

After I finished my $8 salad and two sodas at $1.75 each (No free refills), I go outside to my car to get the cash. I left my cell phone, and stack of cc's on the table along with the party I was having lunch with.

Regardless of what I left or who I left at the table to reassure I was coming back, when I turned around after retrieving my money, there was one of the waiters outside studying me. I said as I began walking towards him, "Really? Did you really think I was going to run over $10?"

Rather than offer a simple apology along with a quick explanation something like, "I apologize, you just can't be too sure these days", you know what was the only thing this genius could come with? "Do you have your mask?"

He didn't try to deny being outside only because of me going to retrieve my money, he didn't offer an apology to try to make a guest feel more at ease, he didn't show any sign of caring for me as a patron.

It's sad to be able to offer such a fine product that is above so many others, yet have such poor customer service that it still leaves...

This is a very specific place, a place where regulars go for years and if you are a newbie, you have be indoctrinated lol. The service here is fantastic, we have help from a hilarious waitress and a very sweet man who is on top of everything we needed. The only reason for my four stars is because I'm not the biggest fan of the food here, but don't let this be a reflection on them. I believe it is nothing but a personal taste of mine because I have family who has been going here for generations. I still recommend going here.

As far as my food feedback, we got muscles and there were seven of them within our dish that were not open, the fact that there were more than two is kind of annoying but seven is extreme, especially when you're paying the prices that any restaurant charges nowadays. I've never been a fan of their pizza, but that's just my personal taste, I'm a thick crust person and their paper thin crust, though for many, is not for me. I had a salad that was very simple and I believe overpriced for the portion but tasted okay.

Again, this is my personal reflection and I will never go out of my way for this restaurant, but I still recommend it for thin crust pizza fans. They are very friendly and we did have a good time. But if you do not like thin crust pizza and are going here for pizza, you might want to try elsewhere. Other than that, you're a thin crust fan, head over to this place.

Big heads up, they...
