La Gondola Pizzeria — Restaurant in Ramsey

I have been coming here for years as well as my family; That being said, today I was extremely disappointed with the rude tone and attitude that was presented to both me and my partner. I ASKED if I would be able to order a pie with half and half of different toppings before even paying. The younger blonde lady at the cashier was lovely and agreed. The MUCH OLDER looking blonde woman already had such an attitude stating my order was “complicated” (which I’m sure wasn’t) and proceeded to take my money and continue to make us feel like what we had ordered was such an inconvenience. The older Italian Man who works in the kitchen huffed and puffed and began mumbling under his breath speaking in Italian (clearly talking about us). If our order was too much then maybe you should have said something from the start that you couldn’t do it, instead of taking our money and continuing to complain about it. I left feeling very uncomfortable from how nasty their behavior in this was. What was most disheartening is how nice they treated every other customer that walked in but we didn’t even get a simple “hey, how are you”. They clearly cater to a very specific audience and my Wife and I (same sex, interracial couple) get treated differently. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK! They can keep that...

This place makes “ok” food but not everything you get from here is good, nor are they consistent with their food! Also, they are very “rude” and not the friendliest with their customers! especially the white women at the register! She is not friendly what’s so ever!! Also they constantly overcharge you! Their prices do not match up with their menu and prices are absolutely outrageous!!! A couple of time I have been over charged it’s as if the rude lady at the register just makes up random prices to whatever customer she feels like ripping off that day! absolutely unacceptable and bad business practices!! You know they are doing this because when you look at their receipts it does not give you a break down of the purchase as well as the tax like most places do! It just gives you the total amount that you were charged which is a made up amount that does not match up with their in store or online menu! Unfortunately, this is the last time I’m going to go here. Also, this is not the first time I have had a similar experience. I went to the counter….no one acknowledges you’re there, so I wait a couple more minutes….still no one has a clue or says anything but everyone is busy being busy. The guy slinging the pizzas has zero approachability and ALWAYS seems angry each time I have gone here - that says something, right? I went to the cashier to try and order but was told to go back where I was. So…..I tried to get someone’s attention again to order, and at this point, the line is building up all around the counter and everyone is just standing there staring at each other.
