Look See — Restaurant in Ramsey

Update as of approximately 8/15/24, I won't be coming back to this place for dining.

The usual waiter has left and this new waiter is not genuine in creating a pleasant dining experience.

At the end of my meal and time to pay the check, this waiter has the nerve to ask how was I giving the tip by cash or on my credit card. He says this after their processing device skipped the screen to add the tip.

I told him I wanted to pay on my card. After he voided the previous transaction to add his tip, he rings back up the order and takes my credit card out of my hand. Didn't wait for me to hand it to him.

I only gave him a tip because God says we are to overcome evil with good.

This waiter's manner of intimidating me for his tip was a disgrace before God. His thank you wasn't genuine but insincere affection; that God hates in people.

I am quite sure had I been of another heritage; that waiter wouldn't be demanding a tip. Most likely would just accepted no tip with a smile. 😂

Regardless, I won't come back there again and now I know why that place has empty tables most the times.

I like this little hidden jewel of a restaurant. It serves delicious chicken and broccoli that isn't overly salty and overly covered in sauce.

There homemade beverage is not...

When Look See was near the Interstate Shopping Center it was the best Chinese take-out you could ever wish for !!! The shrimp, beef, scallops were perfect. the sauces all tasted homemade and not like dark brown greasy sauces from the older Chinese take-out only places. It was clearly a cut-above the rest. Well then they moved to Kohls shopping center and it was still very good, for a while. I always gave them 5 star reviews. After last night's $300 holiday take-out (no it wasn't crowded), I know their days are numbered. They missed one of our dinners, my specialty dish (which I always get Jumbo Shrimp and Steak Kew) was terrible. The "steak" was black, overcooked, tasteless and tough. the flavor and sauce were lousy. And yes the prices are "insane" for what you get. Triple Fragrance another favorite has gone downhill as well. Do you want to know why you never see any diners inside anymore, I KNOW WHY!!! To top it off all the food was luke-warm at best and I picked it up on time and went right home. Everyone was heating their meals in the microwave. I think many of the dishes and ingredients are being made ahead and and tossed into the plastic dishes. ...

Came here a lot many years ago, the quality of food and the service has been going downhill. Today, kind of the last straw. Placed order for delivery. Specifically said steamed chicken with snow peas. Order is delivered, the ticket on the back says steamed chicken with snow peas. What do we get, steamed chicken with mixed vegetables and the person we ordered for can’t eat some of the mixed vegetables. Call the restaurant, tell the person on the phone We did not get the order that we wanted and he says he has to speak to the manager and the response. Is there are snow peas in there. I told him many times we order a protein with only one type of vegetable. I wasn’t sure why they couldn’t get the order right. Again he said well the manager said basically too bad and he hung up the phone. We’ve had previous problems with them getting orders correct. As to food, sliced chicken was slimy and pork dish oily and veggies in pork still basically raw. Stay away. People can make mistakes, but a bad attitude should not...
