In the past 6 months I’ve ordered from Blufish 7 times via Doordash. I’ve always had a good experience ordering mostly sushi items, specifically salmon. My usual tab is approx 150-200 so I’m ordering a good amount of sushi. I would say I’m a regular customer who understands the variability in quality of sushi from a low-budget Lawrence Fish market tray all the way to Michelin-level omakase. My last order here(7/12/24) included 15 pieces of salmon nigiri and other various salmon items. Upon delivery, all 5 of us eating the salmon items could not eat a single piece. Pieces were mushy, smelled off, and felt warm to the touch. Not edible. Our non-salmon items were all delicious. When I called Blufish to let them know, I was swiftly dismissed by the manager who told me no one else had any complaints, so there was nothing Blufish could do about it. Now, I don’t know if the salmon we got was old or subpar because it was a carryout order vs. dine in, but the utter lack of care to even validate my concerns or follow-up with the kitchen was disheartening and frankly pretty unprofessional. I am not a first time customer nor am I a serial complainer. This is the first time I had such an issue and I expected a lot more from Blufish. Too bad. For those of you looking to frequent an establishment that values your loyal patronage, find a different sushi spot that actually respects...
Read moreAs someone who’s been to BluFish Sushi Bistro many times, I can confidently say it’s one of the best sushi spots around. Every visit feels like a treat, whether I’m stopping in for a quick lunch or celebrating something special. The consistency here is what keeps me coming back. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and the rolls are crafted with care and creativity. My personal favorite is the Ocean Drive Roll—the blend of citrus and spice is just perfect. The Truffle Salmon Sashimi is another standout; it’s rich, silky, and has just the right hint of truffle. I love how BluFish balances elegance with comfort. The decor is modern, but the vibe is warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that feels just as right for a casual dinner with friends as it does for a date night. The staff always makes the experience even better. They’re knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer suggestions, and genuinely friendly. It’s clear they care about making sure guests leave happy. While it’s not the cheapest sushi spot, the quality and attention to detail make it worth every penny. They also have some great lunch specials if you want to indulge without...
Read moreWe’ve been to this restaurant several times in the past, but unfortunately, this was the last time.
We had a reservation for 6:00 PM and arrived about 15 minutes early. We didn’t ask to be seated early — just to be seated at 6:00 as scheduled, even though one of our friends was running just couple of minutes late.We asked politely to be seated and explained that the table (which had four chairs) would be the same regardless of whether we were two or three people. We were ready to start ordering drinks and appetizers — but the hostess absolutely refused and kept repeating, in a bossy and dismissive tone, that we couldn’t sit until everyone had arrived.
What made it even more frustrating was that most tables were empty, and yet at least 25-30 people were forced to stand waiting near the entrance. It honestly felt like they were trying to make the place look crowded on purpose. The environment was chaotic, loud, and not comfortable at all.
We’ve always liked coming here, but it’s clear the way the host handles things is damaging the business. That attitude completely ruined our experience and lost us as regular customers....
