I recently had dinner at an Iranian restaurant, and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. For appetizers, the Aash-e-Reshteh soup was absolutely superb—creamy, perfectly presented, and bursting with flavor. The ingredients seemed to dance on your palate, making it an exceptional start to the meal. The marinated olives were also a standout, with their perfect balance of light sweetness and tangy sourness. However, the Maust Mousier and eggplant delight didn’t quite live up to our expectations; they lacked the flavor depth we were hoping for. Moving on to the main course, the Barg Kabab was fantastic—organic, traditional, light, and juicy. It was both delicious and easy to digest, making it a true highlight of the evening. The Lamb Koobideh, on the other hand, was just average, and the Bakhtyari Kabab was a bit of a letdown due to its lack of flavor and dryness. Not to mention that the portions were incredibly generous, easily large enough to satisfy even the hungriest diners. The interior design of the restaurant was beautiful and eye-catching, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotlessly clean, especially the restrooms, which was a huge plus. The staff was incredibly friendly and sweet, adding to the overall pleasant experience. With some adjustments to a few dishes, this place has great potential and highly...
Read moreFirst, this place is adorable. Absolutely exquisite inside with beautiful wine displays on the walls, and a killer little bar. The seating is arranged wonderfully, in a way that takes advantage of the space, but you can still feel like you're there to have a good time with your people without bumping into the people next to you.
The owners are so great. Asrin makes you feel like you are at her house and bends over backward to ensure that you have a wonderful time. We actually found out that everything in the menu is her personal recipe and stuff that she actually feeds her family all the time. Unbelievable, if I cooked like this I'd open a restaurant too!
The olivieh was the appetizer we had and it was so much fun. Kind of like a Persian twist on potato salad... But that doesn't do it justice. You must have 1. The lamb shank and 2. The Green Joojeh kabab. That kabab was unlike anything I've ever put in my mouth. I can't even describe it except to say it's good -it's just good and nothing else needs to be said. The lamb was falling off the bone. Asrin showed me that her family likes to put the meat on rice and put the juice on it and eat it almost like soup. Then the dessert. We had baklava, and it was, not lying, the best baklava I've ever had.
I can't say enough about the very cool little restaurant. What a...
Read moreThe food here was very good. I’m normally not a fan of chicken but the green chicken and the chicken koobideh were both delicious, flavorful, and juicy! We’ve already been back just to have the chicken again, so good! The smoked eggplant garlic dip and the hummus were also awesome. The beef and lamb kabobs were slightly bland, which is easily fixed with a good sauce for dipping. But, the sauces they brought to the table are not like what I’ve seen at other similar restaurants, one was like Cholula which doesn’t go with the flavors of the meats, and the other was like a garlic Mayo that tasted like straight mayo. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the tiramisu was delish as well, definitely recommend it for dessert! As far as service goes, our waitress was good but didn’t let us know about upcharges on items she was offering like rice and bread. There were several people that seemed like managers who were talking with themselves instead of helping the server who was alone while there were dirty dishes piled on everyone’s tables and next to people who were eating at the bar. Overall, the food is really good, but I would recommend ordering to-go from here over dining in. You also get a lot of food for the price so that’s a...
