Easily the best new sushi spot in Park Ridge! We dined here last night after curiously seeing it pop up on Google Maps in the spot of the old sushi restaurant. I’m glad we did. The new restaurant is clean, modern, and welcoming. No obnoxiously loud music, so you can actually talk with who you came there with. The staff and chefs were polite and cared about your experience there. There were many menu options to keep everyone happy, but not an overwhelming amount. It's a little pricey, but you get the quality you pay for. We tried the shrimp shumai--nice bottom searing and it’s best we've had, and the agedashi tofu--authentic and the sauce was so so good. The spider roll and Kabayaki unagi roll were both delicious as well. Their sushi rice was so well prepared and the soft shell crab, snow crab, and shrimp were noticeably fresh. Lastly, we also had their tekka don (big eye tuna rice bowl). Biggest portions of deep red tuna I've had in a don, and large enough to share. In short, we've found our new favorite sushi restaurant in town and can't wait to try the rest of the menu. It definitely raises the bar for restaurants in the area.

Free parking and hassle free and close to the restaurant. The food is very fresh and nice ratio of rice to fish for the nigiri. The Golden Ebi shrimp tempura roll $16 was very good. The $12 truffle yuzu salmon was very buttery and fresh and soft and not salty. The sauce was perfect with just a little sweetness to it. The fried tofu $7 was okay. It was swimming in tasty tempura sauce which it didn’t need bc it was a waste and will be thrown out. Sushi combo A was $28 and had 2 big rolls (California and Spicy Tuna w LOTS of tuna). See picture. Staff were very calm and hard working and respectful. The place is very clean and I could smell the clean as soon as I came into the place. The food came out very fast.

Newly opened sushi spot in downtown Park Ridge. A more casual vibe than the other local spots but by no means an issue. Service was prompt and courteous and had recommendations when asked. Had a few beers, typical for a sushi spot and a few nice Japanese whiskeys on hand. Prices were quite reasonable for the quantity and was very happy with the quality and freshness of the sushi. There were a few groups in the restaurant but by no means packed; was picking up as we were leaving. Seemed to do quite a bit of takeout as well. Good food, and great value for what was ordered. Recommended!!!!

To my astonishment, a geographically landlocked location possesses a hidden gem that offers exceptionally high-quality, exceptionally fresh fish, potentially surpassing the quality found in coastal states like New Jersey and California. This culinary marvel is conveniently located at Neta Sushi, which serves the finest sushi in the greater Chicago area! These establishments elevate the dining experience of a downtown sushi restaurant, elevating it to the caliber of high-end culinary establishments.

For the appetizers, our table shared Jalapeño Bombs (an excellent creation that balances the spiciness of the jalapeño with the creaminess of the cheese), chicken karaage (juicy and flavorful with a mild dipping sauce), and scallop uni (a sophisticated dish enhanced by the addition of gold shavings, making it both visually appealing and delectable).

Regarding the entrée, I opted for their signature rolls, which are primarily selections curated by the restaurant. I believe these choices showcase their passion for the craft that drives them to maintain their position as the finest restaurant in the area. I selected their signature rolls, Unagi Kabayaki and Golden Ebi, which prominently feature my two preferred sushi elements: unagi and ebi tempura. What astounds me is that every aspect of the presentation and flavor is worthy of note. It is remarkable that a restaurant in the greater Chicago area can surpass the renowned establishments in the New York Tri-State.

Finally, it is worth noting that every piece of sashimi, particularly those named “Fatty,” is an exceptional indication for you to try it. It is something I wholeheartedly believe you should not overlook! I had the pleasure of trying the Fatty Tuna and Fatty Salmon. The Fatty Tuna, which is less prevalent in American sushi restaurants, was found here and, where you have it, it can be described as a paradise melting gracefully in your mouth—here at Neta Sushi, there is no exception to this! The Fatty Salmon was also bursting with the authentic, buttery, and oily flavor that salmon is known for, and it was so delicious that it evoked a blissful sensation in my mouth!

If you’re craving sushi and you find yourself around here, I recommend Neta Sushi. I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of their offerings and I believe refined palates will be...

Dine In: Unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience. This is my second time dining in and bringing out of town relatives. Long story short, we waited 1 hour 15 minutes for 6 sushi rolls. Other tables seated after us received their items before us, and the takeout orders were consistently being fulfilled on time. I asked our waiter a total of 4 times why we had not received our food and he brushed it off and said it would be ready in 5 minutes. By the 1 hour mark I was ready to walk out the door especially since we had 2 toddlers waiting. Ultimately I did not want to make a scene, even though it would have been warranted. Our waiter could have done a better job of explaining the situation, if the order ticket was misplaced, he could have explained that, but instead he never offered an explanation or a solution. One of the times he approached the sushi counter the chef behind the counter looked annoyed (mind you this is at the 1 hour mark of waiting). I'm not normally one to make a scene or request that something be done to compensate but this really upset me, and the restaurant did not offer to make up for their misteps.

Frustratingly the sushi is actually quite good, which makes me even more disappointed because it's not easy for me to dismiss a sushi restaurant that makes good food.

Ultimately what might be the deciding factor of whether I return is if the owner responds to this review with an explanation or an apology. I'm not even looking for a sympathy appetizer.

Overall the food is good but the service extremely disappointing considering we...
