Poke Burrito / Sakana - Park Ridge IL — Restaurant in Maine Township

I have been a regular here since they have opened. The food is always good. I always order the same thing and only once prior to today they accidentally got my order wrong. Today, I ordered an order for pick up. My husband’s was fine, mine was incomplete. It was missing ginger, sesame seeds, tobiko and masago. The sauce didn’t taste what I normally order ether. I called the place up just to let them know. This sweet hostess asked me to send a picture of my food, so I did. I received a call back from her and she basically started to describe the items that I was missing telling me they were in my food, but in small amounts so I probably didn’t notice. I explained that this was not my first order, but she proceeded to say “my manager said … “ when I told her I know what masago, tobiko and sesame seeds were she put me on hold and came back saying “my manager said…” basically defending the food and making me feel like I did not know what I was talking about. The manager never got on the phone, hiding behind this girl. I did not want anything but they also didn’t handle a customer concern well either. Updating my previous review from 6/15/22 and this place seems to be steady rockin' just fine! Not pictured here, but my Husband ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and the flavor is a bit better than what I remembered last. Added a photo here of their Spicy Tuna Poke in bowl-form. Picture for once doesn't do it justice but is plenty and had leftovers for take-home. (W 6/15/22) Have dined in and ordered out a few times since my last review and posted photos as well. Service remains friendly and attentive although there are signs of short staff. Ordered the Maki Dinner this time around and it was ok, probably would not order again. Order placed on their website around 4pm, expected delivery around 5pm. At 5:15 I get an email confirmation saying that my food was delivered. I checked everywhere, but my food was nowhere to be found. I called like 20 times and no one picked up. 6pm came, still no food. So I tried placing another order through Grubhub. I figured Grubhub will deal with contacting them for me, if they delivered to a wrong address. After 4 hours of waiting for my food, I called into a different location to try to get ahold of somebody. Guess what!? They're closed!! But on their website and Grubhub they show up as open.
