Starbucks — Restaurant in Maine Township

Staff are usually friendly and quick. There is no drive thru so you have to park at a few limited spots in front and walk over. I've only been here twice and probably will not return only because they make my drink differently here then at other locations I've tried. The first time I ordered my drink I asked for caramel drizzle but I wanted my cup to be lined with caramel drizzle too so I asked the worker how do I properly order it so it can be lined with caramel in which he politely responded "you have to order it with extra caramel drizzle." Well okay fine, I took the drink I ordered and left which still tasted amazing so fast forward to a few days later. I return and order the same drink with extra caramel drizzle but still do not get my cup lined with caramel. Well turns out the nighttime worker says you have to clarify you want the cup lined with caramel drizzle otherwise they will just put a lot of caramel on top which is really weird because I've been to other Starbuck locations since the other daytime worker here taught me how to order my drink properly with no problems. Anyways, she remade my drink as I wanted but not because she offered to fix it but because my fiance asked her too. My review is for all the caramel lovers out there. Be sure to order your drink here with extra caramel drizzle and mention you want that extra caramel...

The 2 stars represents convenient location and nice furniture (but Ikea show room small like size). The stars that I did not give them for was 1) no outdoor seating and drive thru 2) did not accept $50 currency and over and no clear policy regarding this issue, 3) customer service that did not show empathy and not know how to resolve issues that would make people loyal to the brand/store.

Overall experience would be: disappointed that a Starbucks just rented a tiny space in a strip mall at a unusual spot (except for being directly on Milwaukee Ave).

What they should have done in this area should have been like most newer Starbucks is to build a separate structure/ building new from ground up with drive thru, outdoor seating, solid and geniune customer service that will to go above and beyond to take care of guests needs. Sometimes the impression is that staff is trained to be friendly, but does not step beyond that to resolve issues...

Decided to go to try a drink I keep seeing the commercial for and of course, it was not nearly as good as it seemed to be from the ad. The real kicker however was the price. Over 7 dollars for a large (grande) cold brew! I know prices for EVERYTHING have skyrocketed in recent times but over 7 bucks for a cup of cold coffee is completely unacceptable. So, I choose to vote with my wallet and refuse to patronize that business. If enough people started to do the same, maybe some of these places who are just price gouging would be forced to lower their prices. I realize that the quality is NOT the same but just for sake of a comparison, if McDonald's can sell large coffee (hot or cold, iced, etc.) for 99 cents, then Starbucks should be able to sell theirs for less than 7 freaking dollars! Well, either way, I won't be giving them any more...
