I really enjoy this place! The owner is very friendly, and I love that his son sometimes works alongside him—it adds a nice, family-oriented touch.

The restaurant is extremely clean, which is a big plus for me. The pizza is excellent—great cheese, flavorful sauce, and a fresh crust with the perfect balance of fluff and crunch.

One suggestion I have is for the chicken tenders. While they’re good, I think making them fresh in-house rather than using frozen ones would really elevate them. It’s a simple process with just flour and seasonings, and fresh tenders would make a big difference.

For those who are looking for it, the entire menu is 100% halal, which is great.

My only complaint is that it’s always quite cold inside, and since the chairs are metal, they can be a bit uncomfortable. Adding some padding or turning up the heat slightly would make the dining experience even better.

Mar Chica has been my go-to since the Bravo Pizza days, and honestly, the food’s just as good—maybe even better—after the remodel. Their fries are hands down the best in Malden, no contest. Pizza’s my favorite in town too. Skip any of the other nearby pizza places. They’re fast, consistent, and always friendly when I walk in.

The renovation looks great and definitely helps them stand out more. Only thing I miss is the old warm lighting—those new LEDs are way too cold and harsh. Feels more like a hospital than a place to sit down and eat. Would love to see them bring back a comfortable vibe in the future, like the burrito place across from them. Maybe that's just me though...
