Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Malibu

Went here for a one item order, when I arrived to window I was asked for my payment and when I handed credit card it was charged for the wrong order and I was not handed a receipt. I noticed immediately that the order I got was wrong so I pulled around into the parking lot to go inside with the bag of food these guys gave me. However the entrance was locked, but a employee waved me over to the door and just tried to offer me other random items of food. I already handed him the bag of food that was the wrong order and just wanted my money back, however the employee asked me to come inside and after I went inside he locked the door and started getting aggressive about me wanting my money back and no longer wanted any food whatsoever. The employee then asked for my credit card and disappeared with it - when he came back with my credit card he claimed he had returned the money back to my card in a refund but would not let me have a copy of the receipt. He then started calling me by the wrong pronouns and started raising his voice and yelling. I felt really unsafe being locked inside a restuarant as a single female, having aggressive men berating me and acting so disrespectful.

I asked to have the door unlocked and grabbed the receipt showing my refund - so I could report incident to management and the police but the employee that had me locked inside refused to let me leave until I started to call the Sheriff dept. I still have not received the refund on my card for the 19.25 dollar charge to my card. I ordered a breakfast burrito and the guy even repeated the order total being 6 dollars and change, so I think these guys are skimming the till I would not be surprised if these guys were canceling out the orders and pocketing the money because they could not even locate my single item breakfast burrito the drive thru cahoer had quoted me the after tax price for.

03-30-23 Stopped at this location to grab a quick burger on my way home...no one in line ahead of me at the order box. I pulled around the corner and a car is at the window...and another at the "wait for your meal" spot. The car at the window has been there a while and the other car in the "special" spot has been there even longer. I don't know how long I waited behind the first car, but it was quite a long while. Then it was my turn. I pull up, hand my card, I was given my drink, then I wait and wait and wait. I notice the car in the special spot (at first I thought that one of the employees had parked their car there) the driver is becoming impatient, I notice that he begins looking back at the window in an annoyed manner ( how can it possibly take this long for my order?) Now I've been waiting for at least 5-6 minutes, I think they must be making fresh items, they're making a new batch of fresh hot fries (now it's been 10 minutes) I get my order and pull away. I put my hand in the bag and pull out my burger, open the wrapper and notice the bun is soggy like it's been sitting for awhile. Ok they had to wait for the fries to get done. I grab some fries...cold and dried out like they've been sitting all day. I have no idea what was going on inside the store that they would serve old cold food. So disappointing. ...and whatever became of the poor guy waiting for his...

OK so hear me out. A lot of people complain and this place has 2 stars on yelp BUT...everyone forgets 1 thing...Food in Malibu is EXPENSIVE...This is where everyone crams in because it is standard price haha!! So yes it gets flooded and no they cant attend every person as they would like to cz again, people lined up out the door cz food is expensive near there, My experience every time I go ain't so bad. You make a line and wait to order and get your order. I asked for a lot of differente condiments and tehy were mroe than happy to give them to me even when the line was at the door. Give these people a break haha! Inr egards to parking, yes they have parking so,no, you don't got to look for parking blocks down the road like pretty much anything in malibu lol. In regards to the taste,,,i mean it's a fast food restaurant..it's standard lol.. Would i return? definitely. I rather pay $50 for a family than $50 a dish at malibu cafe when I am not THAT hungry...don't get me wrong Malibu cafe is delicious but I am not buyin $24+ nachos lol.ANYWAY Give them a try...you most likely will need too if u tryin to save money while in malibu lol ..give us ahoutout/tag and follow us on insta/tiktok...
