Knew it was going to be bomb when we got out of the car and were met with the intoxicating smell of meat cooking.
These are the best tacos I’ve ever had. Between two people we ordered three carne asada, two chorizo, two lengua, and one pollo. The first thing that stood out to me was that the toppings were not the usual ones I have experienced with street tacos - at least not those I’ve had in Georgia, Washington, California, or Mexico.
The sautéed onion and avocado were a very pleasant addition to the tacos. All the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection — not too dry and just greasy enough to drip down your hand as you ate them. The cherry on top of the cake was that green sauce, which somehow took a 10/10 taco to an 11/10.
Prices were great, service was prompt, and while the place was completely packed, it turned out to the perfect post Bull Run treat.
Only downside is that they were so good that I an now considering making the 40 minute drive from Alexandria to get...
Read moreSeriously a hidden gem in Manassas! I happened to come across this restaurant by looking at the map and never heard of this restaurant before. They start you off with some salsas and chips for free. I ordered 3 tacos and two pupusas and they were SO good! I also got the smallest horchata ($2.50) but the size was bigger than expected. I also tried the nueganos dessert ( it’s like a yucca donut dessert & i LOVE yucca fries!) and will be coming back for more. Tacos and pupusas were a good size and was it so filling I had to-go the rest. I will definitely be stopping by again!
Second visit: had the torta de cubana and honestly it was pretty salty for me. Also the chorizo taco and carne asada was a bit more salty compared to the lengua taco I had last time. The beef quesadilla was amazing though!! One thing I noticed this time was the nueganos which was a lot more darker in color probably due to old oil compared to when I first had them.(did not...
Read moreWanted to try some authentic food so googled and this place was 4.7 stars. It's a small restaurant but so worth it. I approached the counter and was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile! There was no one seated when I arrived. That's because the bulk of the customers were carry out. The food was amazing. I tried the beef tongue taco and this was the first time trying it. It definitely was good and would try it again. I also had the tacos dorados and the baliada chicken and added egg. The food was amazing. Even though they were dishing out orders my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. My server Karen was awesome her friendly personality, smile, and attentiveness was a 15/10. The entire staff was very pleasant. More dine in customers came as I was getting ready to leave. It was lunch time and they got busy quickly. If I'm in that area again I will be sure to stop in for some more delicious food. Thank you for the...
