First by let me state, I generally like the food provided by Logan's. I was here twice in a three day period by pure chance...and not to my satisfaction. I was here Friday 11/15 and Sunday 11/17. The only reason I didn't send a complaint about Friday was that my waiter, Israel, was super nice and very professional. He went to the manager and told him that our food took 45 minutes after being ordered to come to the table. We tipped him, for stepping up to the plate and acknowledging a problem, the manager was nice and comped our meal. We got our food, steak was over cooked and my daughter, 2, my grandparents, 69 and 70 years old, were all tired and restless so we took most of the food to go. (Side note- the hostesses when I came in were not helpful or pleasant, I had to speak first for them to pay me any mind.) And I didn't get my dessert like I wanted. Sunday (11/17):My parents came to visit, and by chance said Logan's, my dad really wanted a steak. And I did not mention what happened Friday, so I was like cool. We got there, was told a 10 minute wait, so we decided to stay- waited 25 minutes, ok not a problem sometimes things get busier than expected. Sat down, the waitress came took our drink orders, when she brought the drinks, we were ready to order but she left so quickly we couldn't tell her. We waited a solid 20 minutes, if not longer, before she decided to come back and take our orders. Took our orders, and never came back. After about 25 minutes we tried to get her attention she held up one finger. After 35 minutes she said that she would check on the food. The manager finally came over and told us that he would comp our desserts...and that our food was in line. Again we don't mind waiting for our food, the biggest issue was that there were people seated after us that we had seen while we were waiting in the waiting area with, that had already gotten there food and beyond almost done. We were still waiting on our food to come out. Finally, 15 minutes after the manager comes, mind you no one comes to us during that time, the food comes out, but not to our table- to the table behind us, and they sit it on the table the other people seem confused, at this point we were done. But what made it worse, was that they then pick the food back up from table sit it on a ledge behind the table, a walkway up to the area that we were all sitting. Our waitress sees it sitting there after a couple of minutes finally comes to our table then offer it to us, seriously??? You really think we want food touched by other people then sat on a ledge for other people to pass by then want to give it to us. We got up, my father stayed back to talk to the manager, who didn't come back to the table so he left, and so happened to catch the manager on the way out. Still didn't get my dessert been dying to try the banana cream pie- highly doubt I will be coming back anytime soon. Completely disappointed by the...
Read moreThis location has such potential! There's a great patio overlooking water. We chose this spot specifically for the patio. Walk in from the patio through a propped-open fire exit and find a server, she says "we're not staffed to run the patio tonight." No problem...we'll sit at the bar. Except the bar smells like a three-day-old frat house. So, we find the hostess and ask for a table. 8 pm on a Sunday night. Place is half empty. But it will be 10-15 minutes for a table. Surprised, we wait.
Get seated after about 5 minutes, in the dining room, where every so often when the front door opens, you can still smell the bar. Couple that with the crunch of the peanuts on the floor, and really it may as well be college all over again.
Server rushes through taking our order and even leaves mid-sentence to get a napkin to write on because her pen won't work on her hand. We order a 6oz sirloin and ribs combo with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad, and the salmon with broccoli, add a sweet potato. And a coke.
Server comes back quickly to say they're out of salmon. No problem, let's make it a 6oz sirloin. Still with sweet potato. She rushes off without asking what kind of salad (salad and one side come with all steak entrees, according to the menu).
2 waters come. And bread. 10-15 minutes goes by. No coke, no salad, no server.
Entrees finally come, and she realizes she forgot the salad. We asked, "don't we both get salads?" and she tells us entrees don't come with salads. Asks if we want to add them, and we say forget it.
She disappears for the rest of the meal, except when she's sitting down at the table next to us, chatting with a girl who used to work at the same location.
Check comes. $2 too high for the combo dinner, and charged for a salmon dinner instead of sirloin (a $4 difference). We grab a menu just to verify we're not losing it, and ask the server to adjust the bill. She tells us that's the lunch menu, and hurries off to fix the check. Comes back with some story about how she put the ticket in for an 8-oz steak on the combo (also not the right price) but made it up to us by eliminating the second entree altogether.
Dirty place, poor, slow service, confused staff. Won't even consider returning for drinks on the patio, if...
Read moreReady for a taste-bud journey? Remember, taste is subjective, and we're all food critics in our own kitchens! You might adore a place that I'd pass on. Variety is the spice of life and that includes food. So, keep an open mind - your new favorite eatery might be a forkful away!
Recently, I dined here that tickled my taste buds. It was a sunny day, perfect for an outdoor meal. Though short-staffed, our waiter Bryan got us settled outside while rolls kept our hunger at bay.
Food Quality: Taste: Ordered a platter with lemonade, French onion soup, a burger, kids' chicken tenders with fries, chicken salad, and a loaded sweet potato. Each dish was a delicious journey, the rolls melted in my mouth, the soup was top-notch, the burger was 'super good' according to my spouse, my kid devoured the tenders and fries, the chicken salad left me wanting more, and the loaded sweet potato was divine. Presentation: Tasteful and appetizing. Yes, even chicken fingers can be presented well! Freshness: The food felt fresh, and made with high-quality ingredients. Variety: This place had an assortment for all appetite sizes.
Service: Wait Time: Despite being short-staffed, service was speedy, kudos to Bryan. Staff Friendliness: Super friendly and patient. Responsiveness: Requests were swiftly addressed.
Ambience: Cleanliness: Though we didn't conduct a cleanliness survey, the place, including restrooms, seemed spotless. Atmosphere: Relaxed and mostly quiet, as we dined outdoors. Indoor lighting was a tad dim, but it fits their theme. Comfort: Seating was mostly comfortable, and table arrangements decent. Decor: Not my cup of tea, but the 2021 theme did enhance the dining experience.
Value: Pricing: Reasonable and great value for the money. Portion Sizes: Generous, value for the money.
Location: Convenience: Well-located with ample parking. View/Setting: Enjoyed a beautiful view of a pond and fountain from outside.
In a nutshell, this place checked most of my boxes for a fantastic dining experience. But remember, your mileage may vary! So grab that fork and happy dining!
