Tipicos Los Reyes — Restaurant in Manassas

Let me start off by saying the food here is really good and I order pick up often and haven’t had an issue until now. I ordered 9 carne asada tacos for pick up, the girl who took my order was having a conversation and talking to people as she was answering the phone (which is completely unprofessional) but I shrugged it off and waited for her to speak to me first. So I place the order she takes my name and gives me an estimated time, ok cool. So my boyfriend goes to pick it up and they tell him they don’t have an order for that! So he calls me and I can hear someone say in the background “are you sure it was for here and not for so and so”. At this point I’m heated and ready to drive over there and cuss everybody out. I know who the hell I ordered from and even read back the number I called and it was their number! They still had the nerve to insist we got the places mixed up with another instead of owning up to THEIR MISTAKE. Since they made me mad I’m going to say how my dinning experience was a few weeks ago, HORRIBLE!!!. Me and two other people decided to eat at the restaurant, we ordered our food and it took soooo long for all of us to get our food. We literally saw tables come and go and get serviced before we all got our food and that is unacceptable. As good as the food is they have lost a loyal customer and I will never eat from...

0 customer service. 30 minutes to make a veggie burrito? I don't want food from a place where customers are treated so cheaply. I literally left them telling thanks I don't want your food any more. And they don't even refund or apologies. Will never visit the place again. Would suggest never to do a take away from this place. PS: I even gave them a small tip for the take out when I paid, even when the waitress over charged me and I had to point that out. When I ordered, there were 2 occupied tables. Then came a large group, all their attention went to them, of course, cuz they can make more money. No apologies came. I had to go in to ask them if the order was being made after 20 minutes, they said they started it and would be out in 2 minutes, gave them 10 minutes and I had to go inside to ask them to keep their food, I did not want it anymore. Had enough. I drove 20 minutes to try their food. My mistake, I guess. Was not even offered a cup of water, literally nothing. NEVER GO HERE WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY. Tipicos is our go-to restaurant. We used to live in Manassas and tried nearly every Mexican or Salvadorian restaurant. Right before we moved, we finally found Tipicos!! Now we live in Warrenton and we drive 35 minutes each way to eat there. We are probably there at least one, sometimes two times per week. It’s like our Cheers. The staff knows us and puts in our order as soon as they see us walk through the door. Everyone we have taken there now goes to it religiously. We’ve actually bumped into people eating there who we originally introduced to Tipicos. We always start with chips and salad of course. They have the most amazing salsa! Then we order bean and cheese pupusas. Next, we order the chicken fajitas (feeds 2). They are the best thing on the menu. The beans and rice are so flavorful and delicious too. Our son gets the fruit salad drink which is different fruit juices with diced fruit floating on top. We’ve taken a fruit salad home a time or two to add vodka. So good!
