I was in town for a couple of days and wanted a nice sit-down Mexican meal. This place is absolutely not a Mexican restaurant. This is a bar/nightclub that happens to serve food. The staff does not know how to treat dining customers. When I walked in, I told the "hostess" that I would like to have dinner. She looked at me funny and walked away. Then somebody else came out and I said the same thing. She looked around like she didn't know what to do with me. She kinda just motioned for me to find a seat. So I looked for a place to sit. This place had no tables! Not seeing anywhere to sit, and not being directed to a particular spot, I sat at the only chair I could find, which was at the bar. Ok, so I've eaten alone at a restaurant and been seated at a bar before. Not a big deal. The chips were cold and the salsa tasted like tomato paste. My chimichanga was actually tasty, which is why this place gets 2 stars and not 1. After I was finished and somebody cleared my plate, I waited and waited and waited for my "waitress" to bring me my bill. There was literally ONE other patron in the whole place. I finally stood up and tried to get the attention of my "waitress". Fortunately, the other patron saw me and told her I was trying to get her attention. I could have easily just walked out and nobody would have noticed. She finally brought me my bill, and it had an 18% tip automatically added to it! Unbelievable! I always try to support local businesses when I travel, but this one was...
Read moreWorst service EVER!
ONLY ones in the place around 4pm. Ten minutes to get drinks and stale chips with runny salsa, it was just sad. The horchata is terrible. At this point i should mention i was only speaking English, which nobody else did it seems, until i told them the horchata was no good and asked for it to be replaced with just water, then the one English speaker turned up to inform me in that i was wrong and that there was nothing wrong with the drinks. I switched to Spanish and explained that it sucked and only then received replacements. By then we were afraid of the food, but let me tell you, the cooks are carrying all the weight at this place. Food was good and tasted authentic (I'm from mexico so id know). The service never recovered, watched the 6 servers huddle at the bar chatting. Best part was the check, they automatically add 15% gratuity to the check, THEN after you get the one you sign it leaves the space for you to add gratuity of your own. If you've got patience to spare give the place a try the tacos al pastor had generous helping of meat and it was savory and juicy as was the torta, the rib steak, and enchilladas. The rice was a bit off though but i suck at making rice and appreciate how hard it is to make right. If the manager reads this FIRE your lazy, snooty, indifferent servers. They are killing your business. Or at least train them, and if you would like to bring in more customers, make sure they at least speak...
Read moreThe stablishment overall is a great place to hang out, chill and dance with friends and family. Although you can attend several events. I'm sad to say that if you come here to watch any UFC fights or boxing fights on PPV. Look for another place, because although some customers attended to see the fight and pay an entrance fee. They do not turn the volume up for the fights events nor pause the music to hear what it is going on. Although you are there spending money on food and drinks. They pretty don't care for it. Also, even though they were showing the fight they have some issues with the application as if they were using a jailbreak firestick. As a business it is embarrassing. If you going to provide a service do it professionally Management and owner should consider how they do their service. Other than that. The place is great to dance and chill and...
