Used to go all the time and the staff was always pleasant and amicable, there must be a new manager or something - because every time I go there now, they are closing early before the hours listed on their website and will not assist me even when their sign says open. They are constantly out of half of the flavors they offer, and recently they increased their prices as well.
For the last year or more, I have gone in and bought a minimum of three pints per week every week. It used to be a great deal because they use the five star points system where you would get a point for every dollar spent and could cash in your points for a free pint, essentially after every 10 you bought you could get one free. But now they no longer use that and always say their machine is broken.
Between the staff there currently, which all seem to be generation z and afraid of actually working, they are no longer accommodating, pleasant, or amicable. My dog and I used to love going in nearly every night a week, after the last three experiences of them being "closed" at 10:20 p.m. and refusing to help me even though they're still open, and the fact that they're always out of nearly half the flavors they stock, I won't be spending any more money there. My housemates and I really enjoy a few flavors that we can't get anywhere else, so we have ordered delivery a few times, and really enjoyed the convenience. I sometimes walk in and order a hand-packed pint so I can enjoy it for a few days, but my last two live pints were not packed very well. One was packed by a person who struggled because the ice cream was really hard that day,. It was good enough and she tried hard for me, so it was still a good experience. Today's pint was packed by someone who seemed miffed that I asked her for a pint with a line of folks behind me, so she proceeded to loosely pack it like two large ice cream scoops with a half inch gap at the top, which left enough space for my ice cream that was halfway melted when I took it the mile away home in 80 degree weather. I still love your store and your ice cream, so I will definitely be back, but please teach the staff how to properly hand pack a pint. We understand its ice cream but if I wanted bad customer service I'd go to the gas station and pay there. So we do appreciate the initiative and being very prompt. Much appreciated honestly. I have never met anyone so careless. We placed an order for 2 milkshakes. We are 5 minutes away and it took over an hour to get to us so of course when it arrived it was melted and ended up making a mess on the counter and she just said "open it" so we did and there's a puddle in the box mind you. All she had to say was "oh sorry" then walks out?? Then Chris has the gall to hang up when we try to express our frustration because apparently he doesn't know how to handle frustrated customers.
