Filomena's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Manchester

TL;DR: Great food...diverse menu...perfect ambiance for multiple types of occasions...10/10 would recommend!

Full Review: We've been coming to Filomena's for 25+ years and have always loved the food. The pizzas are HUGE, and the Italian dinners are really delicious...so many options to choose from!

While I usually come in for dinner, (or for post-race drinks after the Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving morning), I recently had the opportunity to attend not one, but two private dinner parties in Mama Lina's Wine Room, the banquet hall in the back of the restaurant.

The ambiance in the room was beautiful, and provided us with our own private slice of the restaurant. We had different servers for the two different dinner parties, but both times, the waitstaff was very attentive to our needs...drink refills, extra napkins, clearing plates as each course came out...we really felt taken care of.

The portions for the banquet meals were what you'd expect from Filomena's...plentiful to say the least! Lots of delicious options to choose from, including choices for people with dietary restrictions (we had a few vegetarians in our group).

Best of all, the pace of the dinners never felt rushed...in fact we accidentally stayed 45 minutes past closing time this most recent dinner party, and had no idea that the restaurant was closed because of how friendly and accommodating the whole staff was!

All in all, I would absolutely recommend Filomena's for all types of occasions...everything from grabbing a few drinks & apps at the bar, to a nice dinner with a table by the fireplace, and even a large banquet room in the back for your private dinner...

Took my fiancé here a few times while she was back on winter break. Food was great both times. She ordered Raviolis which were great and I ordered the Garlic parm wings and sweet n sour wings and they were quite possibly the best wings I've ever had. I could tell they were freshly made and high quality. The other time I got a pizza with sausage, bacon, and garlic. The sausage was really sub par, I was expecting crumbled Italian sausage but I got cheap sliced generic sausage circles. Also I ordered my fiancé the chocolate cake for desert because it was a special occasion and the cake was clearly old or expired. The cake was oddly...hard... and the chocolate had a flavor like it had turned. Also the ginger ale I was served was flat or out of syrup (from the dispensing machine). That being said our waitress got me a different soda immediately and was kind about it so no worries! Me and my sister ordered 2 salads which seemed like a simple order. Got home and realized the sizes were wrong and the salads were not made correctly. We bought it back and we were told they were made correctly and even after explaining the discrepancies between what was listed on their menu vs what we got they went back and forth with us. The chef herself came out and tried to tell us that simple iceberg lettuce is what they deem spring mix??! I am bamboozled by the whole experience. And to top it off, when we asked for a refund after a few minutes of back n forth with the employees, the chef said to the lady on the register "refund them and get them out of here." I will never step foot in filomenas for anything nor will they ever get another dollar from me. It was just 2 salads that we wanted made correctly based off their own menu and they literally argued with us.
