Great burgers, delicious wings and boozy cocktails can't be beat. Anytime we visit its always a great time out . Great for groups grabbing drinks and sharing appetizers, a nice quick date night or family meals. Islands has something for everybody.
I'll admit the remodel makes this place look extremely boring but all honesty the surfboard tables are just nostalgic. Everything is more ada friendly though and can comfortably accommodate my wheelchair. My only upset is when we want to take advantage of happy hour you can only dine in the bar section and 99% of the time the only 2 seats that are ada friendly are taken so we miss out on happy hour and there are no exceptions made. Believe me I've asked and am told it's only for patrons at the bar . Either way no hard feelings it's just unfortunate when you would like to take advantage of it.
The food and service is always quick and friendly nonetheless. My foods cooked to perfection and flavorful. I love ordering the wings in all flats and having a side of spinch artichoke dip to compliment. When it comes to the burgers you can't go wrong. They are generously portioned and have alot of options even for those extra health conscious diners.
I apologize I don't remember his name but je is the only person that looks like Shawn white. He's my usual server and always delivers excellent service...
Read moreI'm doing the most here, but Islands is more than just a restaurant for me. My grandparents would always take my brother and I here since before we could walk.
With my feet dangling from the booth, I would smash my Tiki Tenders (chicken tenders) and my brother would demolish his Sandcastle (grilled cheese). We would split a basket of endless fries that, to this day, are my favorite fries on the planet... TO THIS DAY. That "Islands Secret Seasoning" for the fries is the real life Krabby Patty.
Our most recent trip was the most special yet. I was back in from NYC and it was my grandparents, my mom, my brother and I, and his 3 month old baby posted in a stroller. 4 generations in this thang. Beautiful if you really sit and think about it.
I've graduated from the tiki tenders to a Big Wave ($15.59), which is essentially just a hamburger. HUGE portion though. It also comes with a big side of their infamous fries, which in 2024 is a rarity.
Even though it hurts my soul they got rid of the endless fries, I can't really be mad. My brother and I would actually eat our body weight in those fries back in the day lol they were forsure losing money on us.
Living in New York City, words can't begin to describe how much I miss Islands. There is no substitute.

Read moreI went to Islands on Sunday May 16th, and I wanted to share with the manager and owner that my burger was delicious, and my daughters nachos were delicious. This review is about our waiter Matt ( red hair, slim young man). He was very dry, had a blank stare, when I asked him a question about my burger he replied “what”, which I felt was rude! When our food came he only came back to our table once. My daughter had to call his name as he swift pass us several times. Now mind you, there was a couple across from us that he was very bubbly and came back to there table several times for refills etc. After we were done with our meal, he never asked us would we like desert ( I’m used to servers asking that question). He put my bill on the table and disappeared. When he came back, he put my receipt on the table and didn’t m say a word. I left Matt a $5.00 cash tip, which he didn’t deserve. The moral of this story is, can you let Matt know that customers can tell when you don’t want to be bothered with them. By the way, the young girl outside calling people’s name to be seated was AWSOME, and the manager that seated us had a cool personality. I will come back to this Islands, hopefully I won’t get Matt. Have...
