Would never ever recommended anyone to go here - ever!

First and last time to ever go. We are fairly new to the area and big about supporting the local places. And we love to eat!

Being that it’s Labor Day and the fact that every time we have driven past this place there is a line out the door We called ahead and was able to put on name on a wait list. We arrived and were able to be seat within 10 minutes. We were being seated and the girl asked if we would like anything else to drink - before reading the menu I asked for coffee. After looking at the menu I was blown away that a cup of coffee was $3, but that was my mistake. Looking over the menu everything seemed way over priced but we just figure because it was a tourist area.

The girl came and took our order. My husband ordered a burrito and side of toast which was additional $3 on top of his $13 burrito. I ordered the steak and eggs for $15. Told the girl I didn’t even want the eggs and could I sub my toast for French toast. She responded with it would be an up charge, I asked her how much and she stated a SIDE of French toast would be like $4. I stated okay that will work. I wasn’t happy with the prices but also wasn’t going to complain. She then came back a few minutes later and said she could give me one piece of French toast for free or I could do the SIDE order. I acknowledge her with, “just give me the SIDE order”.

Got my coffee and it was awful tasting. But we proceed to wait 30 minutes to get our order. Food arrived - it wasn’t horrible but by no means was it good. The waitress we had had no personality and we were having to ask other staff to get the things we needed like filling my husbands water glass.

So we finish our meal and get our bill. Our total was $44.70. Are you kidding me - for what we had I’m about to pay $45 for a breakfast for two people. I look over our ticket to see were the charges were at - then I see the French toast. They charged me $8 for the French toast. So after all that discussion of the French toast your going to charge me $8 - so I asked the girl why was it $8 when she said it was $4. She said because it was a full order. I asked her “even though I asked for a side order?” I wasn’t going to argue with her about it. I pay our bill and leave no tip because honestly as a waitress once you saw you were about to charge me double the price your originally told me you should have come and said something so now what I would have left you for a tip is now in the French toast.

After paying out and going to leave I went and asked for a manger. I feel like this should be a teaching moment for the waitress. I located the owner and told her what happen along with “I think maybe just talking to the waitress and letting her know her choice of words were probably not the best.” As I’m explaining my thoughts she acknowledges me with “hhhmmm” “okay”. Never a I’m sorry, a I could see it from your point, nothing.

After the horrible service, blah food, over priced, and an owner who can’t even acknowledge customers concern we will and I repeat never return. And will also make sure to never suggest anyone to there.

Very very...

This restaurant was phenomonal. My friends and I are from Texas and decided to have a vacation retreat to Colorado for the week. I'm so glad that I brought my friends to Uncle Sam's Pancake House. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very homey and I felt very welcomed by just that. Then the worker for the day (1/27/2021 @2PM) was very nice and was extremely dedicated to make sure that his service was good. He made sure to give us a good amount of time to finalize our order without actually making us wait for a long period of time. His timing was perfect throughout the service. Whenever we desired for hot sauce, he immediately brought us 3 different ones that we could use. Even when the food came out on time, he sincerely apologized for the wait when he didn't need to. I can't stress enough how well he served us.

Now lets talk about the food! As I said before, the food came out at the perfect time. Not too long to wait and not too long to eat. Want to know why the food didn't take to long to eat? Because the food was freaking delicious! All of our foods left us in a state of euphoria. From the Meat Lovers Breakfast Burrito to the Corn Beef Hash And Eggs. All the foods that we ordered was delicious from beggining to finish. Not too heavy and not too light, the food was cooked with ideal balance for what I deem as a perfect breakfast and overall the price was well worth for it's value and quality.

In conclusion, service is fantastic, food is scrumptious, atomospherically feels like home and when you come here... You will leave feeling...

I was really excited to go to this place. It seemed like an old fashioned IHOP - the building even looks like it. The mistake I made was ordering steak and eggs. I was there for lunch, but looking for breakfast. I saw it on the menu and asked the waitress about it, who confirmed that it was good. The problem is - a breakfast place simply isn’t a steak place. I like my food on the rare side, including my eggs and my steak. The steak was well. Not even close to rare. No pink whatsoever. The food was good, including the steak, but the steak could’ve been sooo much better. I’m not sure how that steak leaves the kitchen. When I showed it to the waitress, all she said was “oh well”. Oh well, I won’t be back and I suggest that when you visit, maybe stay away from the steak and eggs if you want your steak cooked anything other than well done. For the record, the eggs were awesome, and so was the hashbrowns. The steak was good too, but well done is so far off from rare that there is no way I can rate this place higher than 3 stars; compound that with the waitress’ laissez faire attitude, and my experience was memorable enough to share with others (or warn others not to expect much with regards to getting the temperature right if you order steak and eggs). Also, the food seemed reasonably priced. I ordered a side of eggs in addition to my meal, and it costed less than the coffee. All in all, good food, good value, don’t order steak, and don’t have any expectations that your waitress will care of what you...

Haven't been to this building since the mid 1990's. Glad it's still here, and the current restaurant puts out solid food. They had a relleno on the breakfast menu. Now, I'm a Texan. I'm fairly picky about Tex Mex, and Colorado has absolutely nothing good. This Chili Relleno was one of the best I've ever had. It's going to be an addiction. My wife got the veggie omelette, it was delicious, yada yada....back to the relleno. EDIT 1: This review was from a few weeks ago. We went back today so we could BOTH scarf down one of those. They were unexpectedly closed. Went to Amanda's. It was awful. My craving is strong. For shame Uncle Sam! EDIT 2: Okay Sam, you're closed on Tuesday. I got my Relleno fix Wednesday. I'm gonna eventually need a 12 step program.

I'm from Texas so when I was googling this place, I noticed they had Dr. Pepper on their menu so I was like okay, lets go! Glad we did because when we arrived it was a little busy, we had about a 15 minute wait for two people, which was fine. The service was great super friendly hostest and waitress we had. And of course the food was delicious. Definitely recommend if you are traveling and want a local spot to eat out. I got the 4 cheese burrito, minus the eggs and I added bacon to mine. I had it smothered in the pork green chile sauce. My bf got the stuffed french toast topped with blueberries and a side of hasbrowns. We made Happy plates!! 😃

Most friendly place to eat in Colorado! Amazing - Spectacular - Service is top notch - Food is delectably delicious…. I’d say this has been our favorite place from Denver to Colorado Springs to Manitou! If we ever visit again….. we WILL BE BACK! My husband and I came to try the buffalo burger on 9/13/24 - it was absolutely delicious 😋. Our server was super nice and extremely accommodating. Next day we came back for breakfast- 🧇 which is served all day. Again the food so good!!!! French toast and I got the raspberry drizzle, I don’t even need syrup! The service and food are outstanding! I highly recommend this place for a great experience.
