Horrible experience! Yes it's somewhat my fault as well but I used to work at Mcd and I never complainedbut I will this time. Went thru drive thru and usually when a customer gives you their card, you make sure the order is paid or that the transaction goes thru before you hand out food. The worker handed out my food to me (no rush at all), she smiled at me, said bye and because I was tired my muscle memory reassured me that I had my card. I drove on the highway for 10min before realizing I didn't get my card back. I called to see if they had it and the workers response was, "oh yeah, it was in my pocket." Why the heck would u put a customer's card in your pocket. Yes, it was my fault for not triple checking but seriously, Mcd has been slacking on their training. And that is NOT okay. I drove all the way back (15min drive), got there and they made me wait because supposedly it was in the back of the store. Waited for 10min then they came back and said the manager took it with her to take her daughter to work. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ good thing she was on her way in and handed me my card otherwise I would have been even more annoyed.
Free tip: Give customer their total, nicely take the payment, once transaction is approved, GIVE the card back to the customer THEN give out the food.... gosh... so stupid. This is why you DON'T skip out on the basics of training. And why would a manager leave the store to do personal business while on the clock?! Ugh... waste of my time.
The worker who took my card didn't even apologize neither did the manager. Didn't think McDonald would be getting worst in customer satisfaction.

McDonald's has a saying in their training of managers to give them the pickle and this location really follows that model without being so letter of the law for example when I want extra onions they don't charge me. So if you want an extra sauce I want an extra lemon for your tea they don't go strictly by the book and charge for every little thing. Another visit on September 19th 2022. My order was taken by Seneca who I found to be very polite and she had a nice smile and listened well. Definitely Seneca is someone to keep on the front counter. Then I got a hello from the back cooking area from Shelby. Lots of good workers at this store and of course with all stores they'll be mistakes at times. I try to look for the good instead of letting my emotions take over like many reviews seem to do. I go to the store a lot because I've got to know the workers and managers and I'm not just treated well as a customer but also feel valued as a person. I always come to this one because they always make it fresh when I ask and they never mess up my order unlike the other McDonald's down the street they always mess up my order and half the time my food is not even wrapped correctly ! So it got to the point where I won't even eat McDonald's Because Of the quality of food it's a shame because if it's made fresh and done correctly it's very good and enjoyable!
