I had a horrible experience here. My friend and I came in to sit at the bar, but we were told by a host and hostess that we had to wait to allow someone to clean off the counter. We proceeded to wait until someone wiped off the bar area. The hostess walked away and left us with the host, and we waited there in front of him for at least 5 minutes. We then asked if someone was going to clean off the bar, he then replied I'm just waiting for someone to go over and clean it. We said okay, and decided to go to the bathroom while we gave the staff more time to get the area clean in case everyone was busy. We came back 3-5 minutes later and the area still was not clean, so we quietly waited without complaining. A few more minutes into waiting this man walks in, bumps into me and goes in and sits at the last 2 available seats that we had been waiting for, for at least 10-15 minutes. We tell the host he just took our seats at the bar, and he reply oh what? I didn't know that you guys wanted to sit at the bar. We asked him if he could have the guy that sat in the seats that we had been waiting for to move. He didn't want to do it so, he asked the bartender who had been taking an order that was not even at the bar to ask him to leave. The guy unhappily left, and the bartender Reggie came back to the counter, and asked us what we wanted. Reggie proceeded not to clean off the counter that they claimed had to be cleaned before sitting that we waited 15 minutes to sit at. Reggie took our order, then I asked if the bar could be wiped down. Reggie seemed to be annoyed that I asked him to clean the area we were told had to be done before we were even allowed to sit down. He loudly emphasized that we got the drink of the month which happens to be $5, and the 3 for $10 meal. We normally do the 2 for $25, but my friend really wasn't that hungry. I am a regular at Chili's and asked to redeem my free chips and salsa. Reggie proceeded to tell us that he can't give us the chips and salsa because our meal is already "discounted". I then knew that there was going to be a huge issue with this visit, because I go to Chili's regularly and I have not ever had anyone tell me that it was an issue, he claimed that it was the same for 2 for $25. I also know that is not true, because I literally came in to this Chilli's the day before and the bartender did it for us no problem or questions asked. I again just let it go as Reggie started to belittle my friend and I and talk about us to other customers. I gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was just the only one following rules. He gave us our drinks and was completely inattentive until we asked him for another drink, because I guess he assumed we just came for 1 drink. After that he was more attentive because we all know the higher the tab the higher the tip. Our food and chips were brought out, 20 minutes into our meal a 2nd order of quesadillas were brought out to me even though everything we had ordered had already been received. He tried to make it seem like the kitchen made a mistake and that it was an old tab. When we tabbed out Reggie told us he was "taking care of the chips and salsa for us"... I then paid for our meal, while we finished off the drinks. My friend asked me how much the tab was when I checked I realized that he put the extra order of quesadillas on our tab, and I had not noticed before. I pointed it out, and instead of him asking to look at the receipt he immediately went to the cash register and started doing things to "fix my tab". He knew he didn't tab me out correctly. Then he gave me a receipt for a new price with no return receipt, then said I couldn't have got anything off of mischarging you. Mind you I didn't accuse him of anything. He knew what he did. 1 week later, and the wrong price went through and I had to dispute it with my bank. Service was despicable, ESPECIALLY from Reggie. DON'T COME HERE THE 7 MIN EXTRA DRIVE IS WORTH IT IN KENNEDALE, I HAVE BEVER HAD BAD SERVICE THERE! WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS...
Read moreWife and I decided to get some Chiliâs for our weekly dine out and were looking forward to the meal. We opted for the curbside pickup and wanted to bring it home due to everything only being open at 25% occupancy, we werenât sure if there would be a long wait or not. Upon getting the food we noticed the Cesar salad dressing exploded inside the tiny bag they gave us for 2 salads, chips& salsa and 2 entrees. I went back up the the Togo door and showed them the issue we had, the lady was polite and explained they are stuffing things into bags to try and reduce waste since there are âtoo manyâ orders. Iâm all for reducing waste but come on, the size of the bag was extremely tiny for what we had ordered. Once we got that squared away we proceeded to head home and enjoy our meal, or so we hoped. Both the Cesar salads were full of brown lettuce and to top it off my burger might as well been a belt. Not only was it overcooked it didnât have any of the toppings or condiments on it other than cheese( supposed to have lettuce, tomato, pickle, bacon and garlic aioli sauce). I immediately called up there and spoke to Denise, the manager. She was extremely polite and apologized that this wasnât the expectations she sets for her quality of food. She offered to re make the meal and even throw in a dessert. I thanked her for that and proceeded to drive back up to the restaurant. Finally got my meal and back home an hour later. Overall the food was decent, it was more the hassle of not being able to enjoy a meal with my wife and having to spend 30 mins round trip both times to get food. Denise was great but the experience was disappointing to...
Read moreI need to share an experience with all of you that is incredibly traumatic from this restaurant! We ordered Chiliâs on Wednesday night after taking my mother to the hospital. All of our food arrived however, my salad showed up with this gigantic bug inside! We immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the manager who profusely apologized and promised to make it right. While we still havenât seen any thing resolved from âmaking it rightâ, I want to warn everybody to please check your food if you go to this restaurant. I begged him to please throw out his salad because this was clearly in the mix from the restaurant. But I want to warn each of you to please check your food before you eat anything from here whether itâs in the restaurant or with takeout! I was completely shocked and unbelievably emotional when I almost ate this gigantic bug in my salad. And while at the time, I was relieved to hear the manager cared, we have not heard a single word since then from anybody from Chiliâs. Please understand this is not about getting free stuff from this restaurant. This is about public health accountability. I had hoped to hear something from either corporate or even the manager on their plans to prevent this in the future, but we have essentially been ignored. Please be diligent, and check your food if you do decide to eat here!
Update: The general manager did reach out to my husband and apologize. She did refund our meal as well. She explained that she was working with her upper management to locate and resolve the problem. Much...
