McDonald's — Restaurant in Manteo

The McDonald's in Manteo used to be the better of the 2 McDonald's ( here & kDH) this place is officially a joke now... I've attempted to go in several times and they act so angry if you want to order in person and not on the screen or online. ( By the way I've had issues with the inside screen a couple times which is why I refuse to order that way)... I stood last Saturday morning with my granddaughter in line with several others waiting for over 20 minutes.. my 7 yr old granddaughter wanted food from here or I would have left "sadly the older lady who appeared to be in charge and who took my order then had me wait for over 30 mins for food ..( I had paid and didn't want to lose my money or I would have left at that point) she was not friendly and neither were none of the others ( their was several workers there ) none were friendly and none had any CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.. my food when I finally got it was COLD, how hard is it to microwave pancakes? Get a hash brown from the fryer??? I was missing syrup,ketchup silverware... things you have to request or not have.. I wasn't even given the plastic cutlery for the pancakes..I mean maybe they eat with their hands but I prefer a fork.. I was ignored for another 10mins and finally had a girl bringing out food grab the missing items... ( She was so annoyed because of my request) this is so ridiculous.. I live here and it's been this way for over 2 yrs now.. even in the not busy" off season" it's horrible.. but behavior and customer service here is ridiculous.. the owner of this store should fire everyone and start afresh..with a good staff this place really could not just make money but be a popular spot with a little TLC, a Good staff and lots of customer...

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any fast food restaurant. I placed an order online and planned to pick it up on my way home. Saw a line of about 5 people, was in a bit of a rush, but figured I could wait 10 minutes. Nope. 40 minutes. 40 minutes later and there was still 2 cars infront of me. I was already extremely late getting home so I figured maybe if I just go inside they'll already have the order ready since I placed the order almost an hour ago. Walked in and only saw about 2 customers inside. One who had immediately afrer seeing me told me good luck if I needed help. the staff were ignoring people and being extremely rude. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried to grab the attention of an employee who was walking past me and was completely ignored. Just walked right past me as I was speaking to her. Didn't even make eye contact. But she 100% heard me. Absolutely NO help from any of the staff. I understand if you are understaffed or have issues, but the LEAST you could do is talk to your customers and not treat them like a nuisance! Plus there had to be at least 5 or 6 employees in there. You're telling me it takes over an HOUR to serve SIX people????????? Listen, when i worked in food service, I used to work shifts ALONE and got things done faster than that!! I already paid for my food, but left with nothing. I was over an hour late getting home. Wasn't able to get to the grocery store because they were closed. The worst mcdonalds by far. Just shut...

The restaurant is clean and presentable, they only had their ordering screens to order when we went in this afternoon. If you ordered with the screen and were going to pay with cash you had to wait quite a couple minutes for someone to get to you. The staff was busy and under pressure with the amount of customers they had at the time we went in, but they did a pretty good job. If you needed something other than your order they took a while to get to you though. I understand they were understaffed and had multiple orders to make and various customers to attend but I was disappointed with the way they were making their caramel drinks. Once give to you your hands would be all sticky from the caramel around the cup and coffee dripping on the rim on the lid. They were unable to make us a caramel macchiato so we asked for a frappe instead and it had about an inch layer of caramel at the bottom of the cup, all thought it’s supposed to be just a drizzle since the coffee and ice are already blended with a generous amount of caramel. I stirred the drink to mix it in but it was just way too sweet there’s no way anyone would drink that.
